We are struggling with a boys name, our son is Alexander but we call him Alex, and need a name which will work well, we have thought about William, Henry and Thomas, and dislike thme for various reasons we need a name not too out there iykwim! but a strong name, which is longer and can be shortened!

we have Benjamin and Alexander we know that by the time they are at the rugby club they will be ben and alex.

... and perhaps fortunately, we weren't able to have another child, as we had "used up" both the names that we liked!

I have twin boys Alexander and Reuben

morethemerrier · 25/01/2010 19:30

We have Alexander shortened to Xander and a William who we call Will, now pregnant with DC3 and if its a boy we will prob call him Edward!

We chose those as we think they are good strong names with the potential to grow with the boys and they can choose their own variation as they get older!

Sure whatever you choose will be perfect and I have to say, you have pretty good taste having already chosen the same as my first son!

NinthWave · 25/01/2010 19:33

lucybrad, I have an Alexander, and if I ever have another boy he will be Reuben! You have v good taste in names
