Would like something that runs well with our other girl names and ideally has a different first letter.

Short list so far:

Emily, Sophie, Charlotte, Annabelle & Juliette
Emily, Sophie, Charlotte, Annabelle & Philippa (Pippa)

What do you think? Other ideas?

I'm called Charlotte - so yes, go with that one.

Charlotte is just peachy.

I love the name Phillipa shortened to Pippa but, IMO, it doesn't go with your other names quite so well.

I have the same name as one of your DCs, my sister is called Rebecca.
I know a family of girls called: Penelope (penny for short), Felicity and Phillipa.
Love Alice.

tokenfemale · 21/01/2010 08:42

I would suggest ALICE too

Congratulations! Your DH is a very lucky man!

I am one of 4 girls and my dad was the only boy with 4 sisters so he has always been surrounded by girls. People used to ask him if he wanted a boy and he always said he was happy with his girls. I don't think any of us really believed it until grandchildren came along and at one point there were 5 boys and only 1 girl and it was obv (and he admitted it!) that the girl was his favourite! He said it is because she reminded him of all of us when we were small.

Anyway - to get back to task in hand! For some reason Rosemary popped into my head reading the names of your other DDs.

Juliette is lovely though. Really lovely and goes well with other names.

piscesmoon · 21/01/2010 08:54

I don't think you can beat Juliette.
I would avoid any starting with the same initial.
Katherine
Rebecca
Rosalind
Hannah
Louisa
Harriet

I don't think that Philippa goes so well with them-and I don't like Pippa.

Thanks everyone, fantastic feedback. We actually have a DS as well (who is only 1 so not quite realised how lucky he is to be surrounded by 5 sisters)- he is named "Blake" bit off track with the girls' names but we weren't fond of traditional boys names for some reason!
