There are lots of boys' names that I like, but nothing that I love as much as the ones we chose for our first 3 sons. Where do you look for fresh inspiration when you're dry on ideas?

We went through a phase of reading the names on the credits of every film/tv show we watched!

What are your first 3 names?

Doozie · 19/01/2010 09:51

What are the names of your other 3 boys? Or if you don't want to risk outting yourself, what sort of names to you like e.g. classic, modern, celtic, different? Do you have a criteria?

I usually go for multi-syllabic European names but prefer not to post my exact choices for the first 3.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

posieparker · 20/01/2010 10:06

crumpette · 20/01/2010 10:07

Can you reveal some names you like but don't love, so we can see what sort of names you're in to.

mummyloveslucy · 20/01/2010 10:58

I love the name Oliver.

shoobidoo · 20/01/2010 15:06

Without knowing what sort of names you love, it's hard to make specific recommendations, but these are my favourite boys' names:

Tobias
Quentin
Sebastian
Magnus
Felix

Snowshoes - are your three boys old enough to help choose their baby brother's name (within reason of course!)? I always think that's a lovely idea if it's something you like too.
Otherwise is there a family member whose name you could use, or any particular songs or places that are particular to this little boy?
