Agonising over girls' names - dp won't go with my favourites (Martha, Hannah) so I think we're going to end up with a compromise. Current shortlist is something like:

Juliet
Alice
Francesca
Eleanor (Nell)
Lucy
Alexandra

Would love to hear brutally honest thoughts on these, or suggestions for others. I also really like Sarah but surname begins with R so a bit too much of a mouthful

Juliet - my favourite, it's gorgeous
Alice - beautiful, also like welsh spelling Alys
Francesca - lovely, i like nn Fran
Eleanor - beautiful too, love nn Nell, Nelly (not Ellie)
Alexandra - another fave, nn Alex is kind of boring but inevitable
Lucy - not so keen, sounds kind of wet
Martha - is cute
Hannah - normal, almost dull
Just my humble opinion

Love Juliet, Alice I don't like for some reason, all others are fine (FWIW, I know a 3 year old Eleanor, shortened to Nell and its great although wouldn't have thought so before hand and she doesn't get called nelly the elephant as far as I'm aware).
