DC4 (DD3) due soon.
For some time the shortlist has been the following (but we have been unable to narrow it down any further):

Alice
Beatrice
Hermione
Harriet
Anna
Elin (dh is welsh)

Already have an Isabella and an Emily.

What are your thoughts?

Beatrice, not really keen on any of the others but love both Beatrice and Bea

Cicatrice · 16/01/2010 21:04

I think Alice or Elin go best with your other two DDs.

deloola · 16/01/2010 21:05

Harriet is my fav from the list, followed by Beatrice - it also sounds good with Isabella and Emily. I don't think you should have another name beginning with a vowel as the 'y' sound is too soft when you then call out a name beginning with a vowel iyswim.

They're all lovely

Alice - classic, if a little boring
Beatrice - lovely, very middle class
Hermione - reminds me of the HP but she's smart, brave and beautiful so that's no bad thing
Harriet - my fav on your list, lovely!
Anna - classic and timeless
Elin (dh is welsh) - really lovely, but would cause confusion with spelling

Good luck

Oh I love your names, including Isabella and Emily.

Alice
Beatrice
Hermione
Harriet
are my favourites from your list. I have an Alice and wanted a Harriet (but dp vetoed) but I love Beatrice and Hermione too.

Only like Anna or Alice, in that order. Prefer Alyse to Alice, though.

nigglewiggle · 16/01/2010 21:07

I love Elin, but it seems too similar to Emily.

I also love Alice and I think that works really well with other 2 DD's.

What is your DS's name?

Thanks for such quick replies. Am glad that they all seem to get such positive comments.

Perhaps we will just have to wait and meet her before we make up our minds. DS (Henry) didn't have a name for 5 weeks after he was born!
