Katherine for me!

Very classy and timeless.

hattee · 12/01/2010 16:46

I love Katherine too - but prefer it spelt as Catherine. Both are lovely

I also like Genevieve

dizzydixies · 12/01/2010 17:35

Geraldine - no
Genevieve - nice
Arabella - no
Claudia - really pretty but shame it means 'lame'
Katherine or Catherine nn Kitty lovely
Susie as a nn for Susannah is lovely too

Spidermama · 12/01/2010 17:39

I like Geraldine (Gerry), Genevieve (Genny) and maybe Arabella which would also inevitably be shortened to Bella.

Katherine is yawnsome. I've known thousands. Claudia is too 70s and doesn't sound nice when you say it and Susie is too mimsy.

Mammina · 12/01/2010 17:42

How are you pronouncing Genevieve - Jennerveeve or the French way. Love it the french way, not keen on english pronounciation
like katherine too

mathanxiety · 12/01/2010 18:19

Geraldine -- every second girl I went to school with in Ireland in the 70s and 80s was Ger. So NOOOOOO
Genevieve -- meh
Arabella -- NO, too fancy
Claudia -- OK
Katherine -- LOVE
Susie -- Susan nice, prefer Susannah

Katherine or Claudia.

ironlikealion · 12/01/2010 18:32

Geraldine - no, too Vicar of Dibley
Genevieve - ok, nn Jenny is nice anyway
Arabella - not keen
Claudia - nice
Katherine - lovely
Susie - lovely as nn for Susannah

Jamieandhismagictorch · 12/01/2010 18:49

Katherine

or

(my favourite - a name I would choose) : Claudia

ellesabe · 12/01/2010 19:29

Arabella Drummond is the name of the pirate character in the book Pirateology... like it though

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/01/2010 20:22

Arabella or Claudia for me.

SecretSlattern · 12/01/2010 20:24

Geneviieve or Claudia here

MaggieMnaSneachta · 12/01/2010 20:24

Claudia or Susie are both lovely.

Not keen on Arabella but I like Christobel

maxpower · 12/01/2010 20:26

Genevieve, definitely

TeaBaggy · 12/01/2010 20:41

i like genevieve
claudia and arabella are both ok.
isnt there one that you both love?

beccagrace2 · 12/01/2010 20:54

our dd is 8 1/2 and a tall skinny brunette, she wants her sister to be claudia or arabella as she would like the names for herself! however if this baby takes after me then maybe these names would be a little unfair. i love genevieve though, just need to work on dh and make him think its his choice!

MaggieMnaSneachta · 13/01/2010 10:11

genevieve is very disney now (i liked it 8 years ago though)

LuciaRose · 13/01/2010 11:57

Genevieve and Arabella - both flowery, but so gorgeous!

TeaBaggy · 13/01/2010 18:14

so i take it that means dh is the one pushing for katherine or susan...which suggests he likes the more traditional names. claudia is not too out there...think winkleman..mayb wen ur girl is born she will suit one of them and that will make it easier
