I spotted this in a film I watched recently. It's probably not going to be well like, but I thought I'd check.
What do you think?

Sounds like an ice cream.

MrsBadger · 11/01/2010 16:28

No

Alicia certainly
Delilah possibly

not a mixture of the two

and this is why it makes you think of ice-cream

MamaLazarou · 11/01/2010 16:28

MrsBadger · 11/01/2010 16:30

Porno back to the drawing board then

It's from Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, they used the Delysia spelling. It means delight.

Made me think () of the Chris De Burgh song - Patricia the Stripper (I'm old, OK):

'I'm going out to dinner, with a gorgeous singer,
To a little place I've found down by the quay;
Her name is Patricia, she calls herself Delicia,
And the reason isn't very hard to see...'

posieparker · 11/01/2010 16:50

I did not know that....[prude emoticon]

badietbuddy · 11/01/2010 16:52

How do you pronounce it - is is Delisha, or Delisia - (trying to do phonetic spelling but a bit rubbish)

My name is Della and I'm always being asked what its short for (nothing by the way) but it sounds like a great name to me.

just check how it fits with your surname and what her initinals will spell.

If you like it - then be brave or you could have it for a middle name?

PollyTechnique · 11/01/2010 19:46

Sounds pretty but I think she would get teased at school, "delicious" etc.

BarbieLovesKen · 11/01/2010 20:03

Immediately thought of Chris De Burgh's Patricia the Stripper song too and I'm 24

Very porno imo.
