What names come to mind that you dislike?

If your/your DC's name comes up, don't be offended, not everyone can like it!

Tyler
Kai
McKenzie
Bailey
Taylor
Blake

I couldn't care less if peple odn't like my DC's names because I do.

some people are jsut too sensitive.

If someone asked, "what fornt door colour don't you like" I would say yellow, but would a yellow front door owner be upset by that? I doubt it ...because they like it.

I don't like people saying my own name is "bleugh, uninteresting and grey", though. (Which has been said on here). And I'm not talking about Lynette. (Which is an awful name! )

Bigusbumus i used to hate Noah with a vengence but now it has wriggled its way into my brain and i think it goes very well with Archie....

MummikinsOopNorth was stirring lots last night on the baby names threads.
The point of this thread? To wind you up!
Ignore or discuss but don't get offended !

FWIW I get really annoyed when people say they don't like surnames as first names as if it some new fangled thing. It's been happening in Scotland for a very long time.
eg Bruce, Gordon, Martin, John, Campbell, Cameron, Lewis, Grant, Donald, Allan. I know people with these names as surnames or first names. Totally interchangeable.
I do however dislike Mc something as a first name.

BigusBumus · 11/01/2010 11:49

PIAP, actually I wish i hadn't put Noah now as its really not that bad!

But i did just think of Mason which i loathe.

I've often been told by people that they hate my DS1s name (Miles) but i am not easily offended!

motherlovebone · 11/01/2010 11:49

like Noah, makes me think Know-er

PoppyIsApain · 11/01/2010 11:53

I think Noah has to grow on you tbh, im surprised that nobody has wrote caiden as nobody liked that when i asked for opinions. just giving ideas.

Overly frilly (v. prim) names make me feel rather nauseous - like people are trying too hard.

And I don't get the whole "my child must have an original name at all costs" thing. Yes its good if its not really popular, but I say that people should pick a name they love first and foremost.

Ellenmummy · 15/01/2010 13:22

Trying too hard names or twee cutesy girly names.
