Kate lovely - I would name Katherine nn Kate. Olive hmmm - I think Oil, or on the buses. Not that keen on the others - prefer Lucy to Lucia.

diddl · 08/01/2010 09:31

Love Lucia and Claudia.

ilovesprouts · 08/01/2010 09:35

kates a lovely name how about kate olivia

GladioliBuckets · 08/01/2010 09:39

I'm an Olivia so I hate Olive by default, after years of people not pronouncing Olivia right.
Love Nancy and Claudia, think they go better with your other names, Kate is a little ordinary. What do you think of Heidi?

MamaLazarou · 08/01/2010 09:39

Nancy is the best! I also like Kate and Claudia.

birdofthenorth · 08/01/2010 13:26

Love Nancy and Claudia

daisyj · 08/01/2010 13:31

I'm really liking Nancy at the moment - I reckon it might be due to become popular soon, so maybe you should get in there now! I also love Kate and Lucia (both pronunciations, Lu-see-a and Lu-chee-a, are nice, i think). Don't like Olive. Claudia OK, although I do know a woman who changed her name to Claudia and it really really suits her, so for me whether that name works or not is person-specific.

daisyj · 08/01/2010 13:32

I love your other dd's name, btw, very pretty.

dizzydixies · 08/01/2010 13:48

nancy is lovely, what about Nancy Kate?

busterk · 08/01/2010 19:06

My DD is Olivia Kate. I love the name Kate.

beccagrace2 · 09/01/2010 12:59

thanks for all the replys, after searching this fab forum i now have so many more to consider! Nancy kate does have a nice ring to it, dd loves claudia so any suggestions for a mn to go with that would be great. My mn is grace and sister is rose so something different and less obvious may be nice.

I love the name Claudia but then I am biased as my dd is Claudia. She's three and a half and we have always, always had people telling us they love her name. And I've not met another Claudia either at her nursery or in my circle of friends or toddler groups, so it's not too popular!

mummydoc · 19/01/2010 10:26

love the name kate , strong yet pretty. My BF in RL is called Kate and my dd1 has it as a middle name in honour of her.
Also love Nancy

beccagrace2 · 22/01/2010 19:50

i think we have narrowed it down to

claudia winifred (mn after grandma)
claudia rose ( after my sister) does this sound like a long boat tho?

or Arabella kate

im just worried that its hormones and i will hate whatever we decide! at beginning of pregnancy we loved olive, but now i find it 'meh'. i do like arabella but not sure about bells etc as nn, do you think its possible to stick to the full name or will it become a mouthful? mayne i'm thinking about this too much!! i would love to have a final decision before she is born tho as with previous babies we did not and this invited a lot of opinions from family/ friends. any advice??

Hey Becca! Sorry luvvie but not keen on Claudia personally. I do actually love the name Belle, however, and would have liked to have used it but would have rhymed with my surname so no go! I would have had Belle, with Arabella as the 'formal' name...I do think that people always shorten so best to find shortened version you like as well, if possible?
