Please tell me what they are.

Have decided to start afresh.

DH is pretty easy so it's ultimately up to me.

Two syllable 'S' surname very similar to 'Simpson', in fact, I get called Simpson all the time! So if it goes with Simpson, it goes with ours.

TIA.

Anna Katerina Niamh - "my" girl's name from when I was about 12 .

You can have it as I am currently expecting DS4 and that's it!

LadyOfTheFlowers · 05/01/2010 17:13

lol Pacific.

Apparently this one is a girl, according to 2 scans, but I still think it's going to be DS4!

Need to be prepared though eh?

Good luck!

3 brothers, eh? She will be a tomboy if she knows what's good for her - or a wee madam, or course !

Another vote for Julia - lovely, and actually rather rare.
And Clara and Anna.
Also on my list were Marianne, Lydia and Ilse.

Raphaelle or Raphaella. Not my DD's name (can't give you that one, obviously!) but love it.

Sancia also is a favourite. And I still really like Poppy although it is quite popular.

grumpypants · 05/01/2010 18:16

Mabel, Stella, Erin, Muriel, Cyd

MintyCan · 05/01/2010 18:34

I love the name cordelia. It reminds me of Anne of Green Gables. "Could you please call me Cordelia"

Harriedandflustered · 05/01/2010 18:38

I like names that are cuddly yet elegant, won't date too readily but not uber-poncey or patrician. Tough sort of balance to find:

Imogen
Rosemary
Cordelia
Sophie
Eleanor
Constance

dizzydixies · 05/01/2010 18:58

MintyCan - would you think less of me if I told you that played a big part in it

MintyCan · 05/01/2010 19:16

Not at all ! I love it. My middle dd makes me laugh at the moment because if she is upset she tells me she is "in the depths of despair"

Sorry about the hijack

I love also really love

Eliza
Rosalind
Roseanna
Alexandra

MadBadandCoveredinTinsel · 05/01/2010 19:24

At the moment, the bestest names that come to mind are

Beatrice
Lucinda
Keziah
Faith
Hope
Ruth
Miranda
Stella
Alice

I agree about Cordelia, but (irrationally) worry that the Cordelias in King Lear and Brideshead Revisited are not very happy precedents.

lowrib · 05/01/2010 19:55

Elodie
Edie

SE13Mummy · 05/01/2010 20:09

I may be biased but I would say Harriet and Miriam should be at the top of the list of bestest ever in the world girls' names.

dizzydixies · 05/01/2010 20:20

MadBad - Cordelia was the only good daughter

it also means HEART in latin and celtic for daughter of the sea which balances nicely with her mn of Dylan which is son of the sea - it all kind of fell into place for us

I'm not sure I could cope with the King Lear association with Regan.

Dizzy - I think MadBad knew that Cordelia was the good daughter, but she didn't have a very happy end.

dizzydixies · 05/01/2010 20:50

well fingers crossed mine will
