Am no closer in finalising her name it's my decision too so shouldake it easier! Her surname begins with C and has an X in it.

I like susannah, lilac, ella, rose.

My friend was at the delivery and is Nicola - nicole?

Other dc are Reilly Scott, Jamie Levi and Millie Grace Jessamy

How do you pronounce Jessamy?

Jess Amy?

Jez a may?

Scorps · 05/01/2010 16:27

Jess-ah-me

I have been having a very hard time and Lacey has been chosen as it was definitely my choice and almost a chance to be me

I am liking Nicole too. And Rose. And Jean.

That goes without saying - name threads are just gathering opinions.

I like Lacey as a name anyway, but even more so because I know this is your choice, something having more meaning than just a name, picked randomly.

I would however be careful with names that could make Lacey sound strange. E.g. Lacey Knickers probably not the best option ever. Also, bear in mind this comes from someone who's son is named scarily close to a certain famous reindeer - I'm a sucker for names with connections and meaning (to family, not necessarily Santa...)

sweetkitty · 05/01/2010 16:55

The thing is with ANY name you can come up with a tease, when I was pregnant with DD1 we told everyone she was to be called Abbie, cue loads of Scabby Abby, Westminster Abbey, Abbey National

My own name oh you could have 100 teases of that (and I have done)

A name is very personal, some of the names I hear on here I think "what!?"

Openbook · 05/01/2010 16:56

Lacey seems to go well with either 1 syllable or with a longer name. I like Lacey Rose or Lacey Elizabeth

MrsMattie · 05/01/2010 16:59

Knickers?

Sorry.

Anything but Mae/May

truoddsox · 05/01/2010 17:02

Lacey is such a pretty name! Lacey Nicole is lovely, and the meaning behind it would be really sweet too - I'm sure your friend would be over the moon!
Lacey Rose reminds me of the cheesy little blonde girl on Green Balloon Club but it's still quite pretty.
What about Lacey Elisabeth? It looks softer than Elizabeth, and I think it looks better with Lacey. (Nothing to do with the fact that my middle name is spelt like that )

GoldenSnitch · 05/01/2010 17:07

I love LaDiDaDi's suggestion of Lacey Rae!

How about Lacey Noelle as she was born so close to Christmas?

4andnotout · 05/01/2010 17:17

Lacey Noelle is beautiful as is Lacey Rae, I'm biased though as I have a Maisy-Rae

Noelle is fab.

How about Pearl?

MyMamaToldMe · 06/01/2010 18:00

Lacey Nicole or Lacey Amber

OrangeAnge · 06/01/2010 18:48

I know knickers have been mentioned above but isn't Nicole a bit too similar to knickers? Lacey Nicole just made me think of Lacey Knickers I'm afraid - I know it has a good meaning and you're friend would be very happy if you did use it. Just thought I'd mention it!

mathanxiety · 06/01/2010 19:26

Lacey Marie? (Too like Jane or Anne?)
Lacey Renee?
