Has anybody called their baby a name suggested on Mumsnet?

I just wondered if many people who have started threads in the baby names section have gone on to use a name suggested by a fellow mumsnetter.

Most OPs have a shortlist and I guess will generally end up using one of those names, but some have no ideas at all!

Did you name your baby from a Mumsnetter's suggestion?

Not mumsnet (hadnt discovered it when I had my ds), but the lady in the bed opposite named my son!

Sorry, to be more clear, the woman in the bed opposite on the maternity ward. I dont have random people in a bed next to mine

not quite. But the positive MN verdict meant I did call DD the name I wasn't sure about .

DD3 was after a suggestion in a very long line of suggestions and I like to think that due to my baby naming obsession gift I've helped a few people along the way too infact I KNOW one of the ladies on my antenatal thread used a name I suggested for her

There was one named after my suggestion on a 'nature names for boys' thread.

The name was Sol. Same as my DS2.

Is Sol short for Solomon? Or Sol as in sun?

oh saul is a great name!! i am always suggesting that to people who only think of max/ben/sam.

but i like saul, and solomon too.

He gets solomon if he's being naughty but it's not even on his birth certificate.
