Miriam is lovely. I like Clodagh too but not if you have already used it. Mind you, there are mitigating circumstances if you really have 8 children.

RemyMartin · 26/12/2009 10:18

Octavia?

KristinaM · 26/12/2009 10:23

congratulations

felicity, miriam, priscilla and saoirse lovely. i like cecily

but if you are worried people cant spell genevieve they wont even be able to pronounce saoirse

alice, martha, harriet and charlotte too popular i agree

sorry but i think gladys is ugly

agree arabella is sloany

do you need a name that can be shortened?

if you like Biblical, what about

esther
susannah
claudia
lois
judith
rhoda

mumofsevenplusfour · 26/12/2009 11:12

thanks for that esther lois claudia had all been mentioned at one time love esther but not sure it goes with our surname which involves a compass point reference and lois was dismissed because of superman also liked phoebe but used for a little girl miscarried late

DH and his siblings (inc sisters) all have mn (one of their many mns!) Dominique. It's actually unisex and after patron saint of 'hopeful mothers', 'thanks for a new baby' etc.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/12/2009 21:26

I still like Felicity best, followed by Harriet.

Philippa (Pippa) would also go with your others I think.

jaylola · 26/12/2009 21:39

Felicity is lovely, I also love Amelia!!

CitizenPrecious · 26/12/2009 21:45

juuule · 26/12/2009 22:19

Octavia

dizzycringles · 26/12/2009 22:21

what about Cecile if you like Cecily/ Cecelia?

Genevieve could be shortened to Evie?

how about Marianne?

Cordelia
Celeste
Beatrice

mozette · 26/12/2009 22:21

I love Genevieve and you could shorten it to Evie

5inthesleighbed · 26/12/2009 22:22

Felicity is lovely. I also like Aofie, especially if you have Irish links.

juuule · 26/12/2009 22:23

Caoimhe -pronounced Keeva?

TeamEdwardsSparklyBaubles · 26/12/2009 22:24

I think Octavia would be lovely!!

I also like Agatha or Cornelia (Nelly?)

TinyPawz · 26/12/2009 22:27

Máiréad
Sinéad
Nuala
Orla
Connlaith
Deirbheile

MadBadandCoveredinTinsel · 26/12/2009 22:30

Felicity is lovely. The only Arabella I know is loathsome, so that would put me off. And I once heard a skit about Sloaney girls called Arabella who work in art galleries, which isn't very encouraging either.

Agree that Susannah is a lovely name. Has anyone yet suggested Keziah? Is Bathsheba too fanciful?

dizzycringles · 26/12/2009 22:31

Susannah is pretty

Arianna?

Heated · 26/12/2009 22:33

Genevieve can be shortened to Evie, Eve or Gennie.

I adore Miriam, I know only one and her nn is Miri.

NotanOtter · 26/12/2009 22:35

i love your choices
Genevieve lovely

not keen on Alyssia or charlotte

dizzycringles · 26/12/2009 22:35

Imogen?

NonnoMum · 26/12/2009 22:38

Octavia would be brilliant!
But it's up to you and DH.
How about asking the other seven children and having a family vote?
