"....anna" names

Am a regular(ish) but have namechanged for obvious reasons. Just a quick straw poll - if, hypothetically, your name was Anna, would it be odd to choose a name for DD that ended in "anna", e.g. Susannah, Rosanagh? We ruled out all "anna" names last time round, but am struggling with girls' names and am quite drawn to these...

I don't think so - Rosanagh doesn't sound too similar and is very pretty in its own right.

You probably wouldn't shorten the 'anna' names to Anna, would you? So I can't see it would be a problem.

Mistletoesnowman · 21/12/2009 16:05

I think it's fine.

PixieOnaChristmasTree · 21/12/2009 16:13

Aren't you going for something, erm, slightly more Swedish ?

meggymegmegs · 21/12/2009 16:43

I don't think it's a problem at all.

Anya4 · 21/12/2009 19:16

Not a problem at all in my opinion

annamama · 21/12/2009 19:33

Pixie - did you think it was me...? No it's not.

PixieOnaChristmasTree · 21/12/2009 20:01

Darn it. . .My not-so-super-sleuthing really is bad!

Sorry OP!

Still go for the Anna names, though. . .

MaggieAnFiaRua · 21/12/2009 20:09

Rosannagh with a gh!? |Roseanna is a little too much sweetness and girlieness. i like Rosemary more. Even though i like anna more than mary.

I think Susannah is nice. with nn Susie.

Alanna?
Anastasia?

No problem with the -anna ending, imo, or at the start either.
