I really like the above names, in that order but want to think of other pretty and traditional names.

Baby due in 2 weeks and I need some more ideas!

TIA

I have a cousin called Amelia Rose.... so pretty!

mulledfruitshootandcheese · 17/12/2009 13:43

I have an Emily and a Sophie
I also considered
Amy
Lucy
Jessica

MummyTumble · 17/12/2009 16:58

I'd go with Amelia - gorgeous name

Why do need other ideas??

Don't go Rosie. I personally LOVE it, but DH says its a slang word for a bloke masterbating (Rosie Palm and her five friends)

MaggieAnFiaRua · 17/12/2009 17:11

never heard that rosie thing. i like it with Rosemary in full though.

I like Susie instead of Sophie. too many sophies and emilys and amelias...

Florence99 · 17/12/2009 21:56

I think Amelia is lovely, but DH not hugely keen which is why I wanted other ideas.

Also had never heard that about Rosie!

Thanks for your replies.

Love all three names.
Agree that you shouldn't have too many to chose from otherwise it might be even harder to make up your mind!

liliputlady · 18/12/2009 11:40

I think both Rosie (also Rose and Rosa) and Sophie are beautiful.

Rindercella · 18/12/2009 11:43

All very beautiful names - popular, but for good reason!

I agree with your order of preference too.

MummyClausGoneCrazy · 18/12/2009 11:44

I like Sophie but then i have one so of course i would

I also have a Paige and a Macie

I love Amelia as well but DP didnt

LouMacca · 18/12/2009 12:06

I think all three names are lovely.

I have a Sophie and if I had another DD I would choose Georgia or Isobel.

Stigaloid · 18/12/2009 12:22

Oooh we like all 3 of those names too as well as Harriet (Hattie) and Tabitha (Tabby)

crumpette · 18/12/2009 12:24

I really like Sophie. I also like Emilia, Lucy and Alice...

Rachybabes · 19/01/2010 11:10

SE13Mummy · 19/01/2010 15:34

Stigaloid, Harriet is a wonderful name, well our one likes it (she goes by Hattie too).

alarkaspree · 19/01/2010 15:38

I have an Amelia, be warned it is very very popular. Once at dd's music class we were amongst the last to leave and some people from the next class were arriving. There were 5 children in the room - 3 Amelias, 1 Amelie, and my ds.

I also liked Claudia, Amy, Beatrix and Agnes.

InmaculadaConcepcion · 19/01/2010 20:16

Rosie's my number 1 choice for my LO on the way... I can handle the masturbation connotation (heh heh heh)

What about Katie?

nikkisbump · 19/01/2010 22:15

My cousins (different parents - I don't have a super aunt!) are all named similar names to your taste:

Sophie
Katie
Rosie
Lucy
Poppy
Charlotte

Also, how about:
Emmeline
Bella
Pheobe
Emily
Megan
Anna
Violet
Ella
Caitlin
Isla
Elizabeth nn Libby
Eleanor
Maisie
Abigail
Jessica

Oo this helped me add some to my list!

GladioliBuckets · 20/01/2010 15:59

I always have to pronounce Rosie or Sophie with a Coronation Street twang - am I the only one? Rawzeh, Sawfeh

Coldhands · 21/01/2010 10:34

Amelia is our name if we ever have a girl, love it. Hate Sophie, my cousin is called it and she is a bitch. I do like Sophia though.
I also like Rose/Rosie

GladioliBuckets · 21/01/2010 20:55

How about Rosalie?
