Gawd I am usually a complete misery on baby names threads but with the exception of Harry (I just hear it too damn often and it's too jolly hockey sticks for me) I love your lists!

Your girls names are beautiful.

Cortina · 14/12/2009 15:51

Boys, like Arthur and Harry (but really only as nm for Henry).

The others are a bit over-used for my taste.

In a similar vein like:

Ambrose
Wilfred (Will or Freddie)

Girls like them all!

Probably Annabel my favourite.

Also like (sort of in same name family):

India
Caroline
Sarah
Rachel
Julia

Love all your names, esp Charlie, Harry and Kitty!

RnB · 14/12/2009 16:20

I agree, if you swap Harry for Henry would be a perfect list. Lovely

MrsMattie · 14/12/2009 16:22

I like Charles and Catherine best. Classic, won't date.

Bucharest · 14/12/2009 16:23

Love all of your girls, none of your boys. (sorry!)

MamaLazarou · 14/12/2009 16:23

They are all smashing. Not keen on Kitty.

Francagoestohollywood · 14/12/2009 16:28

I like Catherine, Florence, Harry and Arthur.

CornishKK · 14/12/2009 16:33

Love them all, were all on my list - PFB of 4.5 months is Ted.

However DH vetoed all of my list with the exception of Ted on the grounds that they were all old people's names.

cumbria81 · 14/12/2009 16:41

Edward (nn Ted/Teddy) - I like Edward but not the nn
Charles (nn Charlie)- not bad
Arthur - dislike
Harry - I like this, it's cute

GIRLS:

Florence - too poncey
Annabel - I like this
Catherine (nn Kitty) - lovely

Ondine · 14/12/2009 17:10

They are all a bit too traditional for my taste.

But from the list I like Edward and Annabel best, both nice names. I always think Edmund is a rather fab name - similar to Edward but more unusual.

Cortina · 14/12/2009 17:11

I second Edmund, much under-used and I once met an oh so handsome one

mathanxiety · 14/12/2009 17:14

Annabel. I think the boys' names are all very popular right now.

liliputlady · 14/12/2009 17:21

I like Edward, Charles, Harry, Catherine and Florence.

morethanyoubargainfor · 14/12/2009 17:31

BOYS:

Edward (nn Ted/Teddy)-not one for me.

Charles (nn Charlie)- love charlie especially for a girl.

Arthur-LOVE LOVE LOVE it .

Harry-not one for me.

GIRLS:

Florence-love it and the potential NN.

Annabel-becoming too popular for me

Catherine (nn Kitty)-love Kitty not so keen on catherine.

Tortington · 14/12/2009 17:32

all v. predictable

Thissideofchannel · 14/12/2009 18:26

Boys names all too popular for my liking.

Catherine and Florence are lovely!

bellissima · 15/12/2009 09:51

I don't think Florence is poncey at all if it's Florie. Prefer Kate as nn for Catherine. Don't like Annabel. fairy on top of Christmas tree name.

Like the boys' names.

turkeydrumstix · 15/12/2009 15:54

You have lovely taste in names!
I like Arthur and Kitty best.

Patsy99 · 15/12/2009 16:21

Honestly? I think they're a bit middle class twee. But if that's what you're after (as many people are) all fine, with the possible exception of Florence which seems to have had a peak of popularity a few years ago.

notanun · 15/12/2009 16:24

They're good, classic, traditional names but the boys ones in particular are vvvvvv popular. That might not bother you of course.
