Name for Lily's brother

Hey all, I am expecting a boy, a brother for Lily Matilda.

We tend to gravitate towards the more popular names for some reason and obviously having a Lily we do not have an issue with popularity!

Our list is

Harry
Dylan
Finn
Luca or maybe Lucas
Leon

OOOh Lilly and Finn go lovely together. I would stear clear of names with the same first letter tho.

lou33 · 10/12/2009 13:53

i have a lily and a dylan, and a rory (who was almost a luca)

grumpydrawers · 10/12/2009 14:20

I have a Lily and a Douglas, Finn and Lucas both lovely names

baby2onitsway · 10/12/2009 16:59

Are Lily & Leon and Lily and Luca a bit of a mouthful?

Lily is quite an old traditional name so i would suggest

Henry
George
Tom
Edward
Lawrence

type names to go with it.

GreatGooglyMoogly · 10/12/2009 18:27

I know a Lily with a brother called Harry!

baby2onitsway · 10/12/2009 19:21

Thanks for the replies. Thank you for the suggestions cece but I'm really not keen on Tom, George type names. They're even a bit too boring for me!
The names I've listed are all old traditional names btw! I'm not into made up modern names.

Harry, Finn or Dylan I think as I think the two L thing is a bit rhymey.

I know a Lily & Joe if it helps

GoldPHOENIXcenseAndMyrrh · 10/12/2009 20:07

I've got Lewis and Noah.

Obviously Lily and Lewis have the same first letter. But Lily and Noah sounds nice

girlsyearapart · 10/12/2009 20:08

Joe it is.

Effjay · 10/12/2009 20:08

I like all of your shortlisted names. I would probably avoid using the same initial for siblings ideally. Out of the others, I would pick Harry (like Henry even more) or Finn (but like Finlay/ Finnian more).

PfftTheMagicDragon · 10/12/2009 20:48

Billy

Ponders · 10/12/2009 21:12

or even Willy

(You could join forces with Davina - she has Holly, Tilly & Chester. I was v disappointed Chester didn't get Billy or Willy tbh)

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 10/12/2009 21:25

My dd is Lily and ds Harry
good choices

Divatheshopaholic · 10/12/2009 21:34

Harry is nice

katnkittens · 11/12/2009 01:24

I have a Lily and Cameron amongst others

If this DD3 had been a boy he would have been George or Leon.

Finn is lovely too.

mathanxiety · 11/12/2009 14:31

Finn or Harry (prefer Henry).
