Sounds silly but ever since i was a little girl i have loved the name Brandon and always said if i have a boy he will be called Brandon.

My DH agreed initially but now says he's not sure! If we have a boy his middle name will be Matthew same as DH and his father both had as their middle names.

All this and i don't even know what i'm having yet!

I haven't got any preference if its a girl, in which case he has full choice as i already have a DD from previous.

YANBU, you like it, it's a reasonable name, he'd have a MN your DH agrees with.

You'll be doing the pushing so you get 60/40 on the name preference in my book!! Obv don't go for it if your DH hates it but if he likes but not loves it I think you get perrogative, esp as the middle name will be meaningful to him.

I love Brandon, and Brandom Matthew sounds like a very handsome wee man!

You're bound to have another girl now you're worrying about this though

lol, birdofthenorth, your so right, i prob will end up with a girl!

Im glad you like the name and def agree about the ratio on name choosing. Thing i'll play the Im the one pushing card!

That depends how much your DH really doesn't like it. It wouldn't be fair to give your (joint) child a name one of you doesn't really like.

Of course you're not unreasonable to wanting to name your ds Brandon. Assuming your dh is happy with it, its up to you what you want to call your baby!

Good luck!

I seem to be going against popular opinion here, but I think it would be unreasonable to insist on a name your DH isn't happy with. I think you both have to like the name
