hi
I am expecting no2 in a few weeks, and it's likely to be a girl. We can't agree on any names, and in a bid to distract myself from more important practical matters, I want to get a name chosen asap. So:
Surname is short (4 letters) so we'd like 2-3 syllables
Surname is Arabic so we're leaning towards Spanish / Italian or English names (e.g. don't want Leila etc)
DD1 is Claudia so something which doesn't jar with that (although they don't need to be a matching pair)
Loved Francesca but a good friend has just used it and would be too much to have two.
We don't want anything too popular (eg think Olivia / Georgia are v pretty but there seems to be a lot of them)...

From hundreds of suggestions, my DH has agreed that Gabriella or Violet are 'OK'... so can you lovely people come up with any alternatives which are received with more warmth?
Thank you

Thank you all for your suggestions... Helena seems to jump out at me so that might be the one.
Do you think that Claudia and Helena is too much as a pair of sisters?

thumbwitch · 01/12/2009 17:02

No, seems fine - but if you'd picked Augusta, that might have been a bit extreme

mathanxiety · 01/12/2009 17:04

I think it's a lovely combination.

loobylu3 · 01/12/2009 18:16

I think Claudia and Helena would be lovely. Helena is a beautiful classic and feels multicultural to me which, I think, is what you are after. Love Francesca too but see you can't use that

dizzydixies · 01/12/2009 18:19
