Not for me

At swimming lessons the other day, one of the other mums had two girls called Annabelle and Isabelle (and she called them that not Anna and Izzy).

All i could think of was how confusing that must be
Am i alone?

I wonder if they had a sister at home called Belle?

bellissima · 23/11/2009 09:57

Or Tinker?

SixtyFootDoll · 23/11/2009 09:58

Is their brother Ding-Dong?

Mimi1977 · 23/11/2009 11:15

Both gorgeous names but too many Belle's going on. Sorry.

Cortina · 23/11/2009 11:25

I knew a Beverly and Natalie. That seems 'worse' somehow.

If known as Anna and Issy, cool, and both beautiful names. I'd have gone for Anabella and Isabelle, but I love Anabella .

Both nice names, and the girls won't be children forever. It's a bit on the cutesy side, but not too bad.

Are you sure they weren't friends doing a extra curricular car pool type arrangment?

In my dd's old class (when we lived in England) there was and Annabel and an Isabel in the same class.

I would have to laugh if they were sisters though. That definitely comes into my Pandas at the Zoo name-type combo category!!

What about BabyBelle?

MrsMattie · 23/11/2009 16:59

Too many belles.

I do know Spanish sisters called Anna-Maria and Rosa-Maria.

littleducks · 23/11/2009 20:06

No def sister, with 2yr age gap

I have heard the names before but always assumed that i had misheard the previous week and that Isabelle was in fact Annabelle and vice versa but they were together an mum calls out "come on Annabelle! come on Isabelle"

i did wonder what the mums other child was called

Maribel!

lambanana · 23/11/2009 21:58

2 sisters in dd's nursery have these names.

I like them but it can be confusing - there is only a year between them!

Katiej06 · 28/11/2009 18:28

I teach twins called Sameer and Safeer. Confusing.

ineedalifelaundry · 28/11/2009 18:46

I teach twins called Javaad and Javaaz- also very confusing! Actually I can't tell the difference between them yet anyway so if I need to speak to one I just call out 'Javaa...' and fluff the ending hoping they won't notice!
