Harvey or Hunter?

Our baby is due in 4 weeks time, if it's a girl she'll be Anna Noelle Reekie. Stuck between boys names, either Harvey James Reekie or Hunter James Reekie... thoughts please as Hunter is a "love it or hate it" name!

Harvey.

Hunter is a bti agressive-sounding I thnk.

AitchTwoToTangOh · 21/11/2009 21:14

harvey reekie just does not work, sorry. oddly, i am quite drawn to hunter but would be concerned about the nicknames.

happyatlast · 21/11/2009 21:15

My son is called Harvey! Go with that!

LALA77 · 21/11/2009 21:26

Thanks folks, appreciate the feedback. I suppose when you see a baby that has been named you just accept that name and get used to it, but trying to pre-empt isn't so easy. To be honest I hope it's a girl then that makes life easy .

Away to read my baby names book again!

JANEITEisntErudite · 22/11/2009 15:01

Laurence James is gorgeous.

SixtyFootDoll · 22/11/2009 15:10

I have a Harvey
I love the name
Dont know any others and he is not a chav.

purepurple · 22/11/2009 15:15

I care for a Harvey and really don't like the name at all.
It reminds me of a furniture shop.

diddl · 22/11/2009 15:45

I like Harvey but also think that neither name go with surname.

I think a 1 or 3 syllable first name may be better.

Hunter or Harvey just sound too "rhyme-y" to me.

Dont like any of them tbh.

saggyhairyarse · 22/11/2009 23:23

Heated · 22/11/2009 23:38

Although a naming traditionalist, I do like Hunter (much, much more than Harvey)... but Hunter Reekie sounds like Hunt-a-Reekie which ought to be a comical furry creature or possible a smell! Sorry!!

Anna is fab.

displayuntilbestbefore · 22/11/2009 23:42

at Heated Hunt-a-reekie
Good point

also think Harvey Reekie has too many eeee sounds.
Harold Reekie sounds distinguished

logi · 23/11/2009 22:19

I love Hunter for a boy or a girl...go for what you like.
