Landyn Konner
Layne Mykel
Drayden Karter
Irelyn Kadyn
and
Kieran Skye?

Just saw a reality tv show on cable here, about the Ferrill quintuplets (American, of course), which was quite sweet, but then they listed the names. Oh dear. Mykel for Michael??

And before you say that Kieran is an OK name, they gave it to a girl. I do like Skye, though.

Perhaps they're Scrabble fans and know that K is worth a shed-load of points?

Marioandluigi · 19/11/2009 13:08

Too many 'Y's for my liking

But at least they didnt give them Rhyming names.

skihorse · 19/11/2009 13:52

There are so many y's and k's it's like skim-reading a Polish newspaper.

mathanxiety · 19/11/2009 15:12

OMG. Are they afraid the quintuplets won't stand out enough? Irelyn? Irelyn?

Ferrill? Shouldn't that be Ferryll?

SixtyFootDoll · 19/11/2009 15:13

Particular revulsion at Irelyn and Ferrill. That's like feral. "your kids are feral"

MaggiePie · 19/11/2009 15:57

I'm really thick though. I miss read the title of the op. I thought it said 'what would you name them?"

mathanxiety · 19/11/2009 15:57

The surname Farrell would be pronounced 'Feral' in the US. My guess is it was spelled as it sounded at some stage.

MaggiePie · 19/11/2009 16:02

oh boy. I wonder if they were ordering clomid off the internet! I'll say no more! I've said too much.

flimflammum · 19/11/2009 16:05

That's OK Maggie, you can tell us

I guess we can't really criticise them for their surname, though.

Maybe Irelyn is Ireland with a southern US accent??

OP posts:
mathanxiety · 19/11/2009 16:11

Yes, it is. And it is dreadful enough as Ireland without mangling it to Irelyn. I can't understand why they didn't spell Kieran (the poor girl) Kieryn. Did they want hyr to be even more different?

That's Clomyd, MaggiePy.

mathanxiety · 19/11/2009 16:12

And of course I meant dyffrint.

Teapot13 · 19/11/2009 18:52

Must be y's were on sale!

Fruitbatlings · 19/11/2009 18:56

I thought you meant feral as in wild!

differentID · 19/11/2009 18:59

Oh dear. Poor children.

FWIW, my top 5 names for each sex are

Brice Peter
Dexter Michael
Gabriel Edward
Clement George
Noah Eric

Sylvia Marie-Therese
Winifred Susannah
Margaret Georgina
Dorothea Anne
Erica Claire

Tidey · 19/11/2009 19:01

Well, they've certainly been orygynal.
