Anna.... it's my fave girls name atm.

How about Anna Sophia?

becklespeckle · 06/11/2009 23:49

My first thought for a beautiful dark haired girl would be Thea.

Anna and Helena are both names I love too though (especially Anna).

(plus her hair may change - my beautiful dark haired baby girl is now covered in blonde curls)

Congratulations BTW, she sounds scrupmtious!

CDMforever · 07/11/2009 11:40

I LOVE Cecily and is one of DD'S middle names, her first name is Arabella - a name I fought long and hard for and still am completely and utterly in love with. My DD was extremely dark haired too but now at 15mo is chestnut brown. I like names where you can chose a shorter version. So as she gets older she could have Arabella, Bella (what we tend to call her, as well as Arabou!) or Ella. And i love the shortened Cecy - beautiful! Many Congrats!

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/11/2009 12:14

Friend had a Cecily this summer - first one I'd come across. It certainly fits the criteria that you have given.

So Cecily Anna or Anna Cecile.

lotspot · 07/11/2009 12:19

Personally I'd use Elsa, or Thea.

Cecily and Helena i wouldn't use, and Anna i think is lovely but a tad bland (sorry to all Annas!!)

So if I were to rank them it's be Elsa, Thea, Anna, Cecily and then Helena.

But if you love cecily then go with it!! unless of course DH really HATES it and is just being nice....

I think Anna Cecile is a lovely combination btw

brimfull · 07/11/2009 12:27

I love Cecily!

doubleexpresso · 07/11/2009 16:15

Congratulations. Anna Cecile sounds really classic. It the sort of name that fits a baby, toddler, teenager and adult. Thea always sounds like 'fear' to me. Let us know what you choose!

mathanxiety · 07/11/2009 22:26

Congratulations!
I love Elsa and Helena.

LynetteScavo · 07/11/2009 22:30

Anna.

I regert not calling DD Anna.

cece · 07/11/2009 22:39

OMG your shortlist is nearly the same as ours was when we had DC3. Except he was a boy so we couldn't use any of them.

I vote for
Anna
or
Thea.

Can I add my fav which was Verity
Congratulations by the way.

needanamefast · 07/11/2009 23:46

Anna Beatrice it is.

Saving the others for next time

Both are family names on both sides and seem to suit her. Gosh its hard!

Thanks for being a sounding board!!

brimfull · 07/11/2009 23:52

welcome Anna Beatrice !

Gorgeous name !

MedusaHead · 07/11/2009 23:54

Oops - just realised you have already chosen a name. Anna is lovely, ignore me I thought I had read all the thread but obviously not

jellybeans · 08/11/2009 00:09

I like Thea and then Cecily.

nappyaddict · 08/11/2009 01:33

Elsa or Helena. I like Cecily but close to Cecilia which is getting quite popular now.

pureeandpearls · 08/11/2009 11:51

I am biased but think Cecily is perfect (ours is CJ for short) but all the other names are fabulous too. Cogratulations

Vivia · 08/11/2009 16:32

Elsa!

I'm forever suggesting this name to MNers. It's a dream of a name.

pointydogg · 08/11/2009 16:45

Anna my favourite.

Elsa and Helena also nice.

pointydogg · 08/11/2009 16:46
