Oliver is the only name DH and I can agree on at the moment but are there going to be ten other kids with the same name in his class?

Considering that Oliver was the 2nd most popular boys' name in 2008, I think, definately yes, there most likely will be at least one other Oliver in his class.

There are loads of Olivers around - I would avoid it for that reason.

i think it is because all the yummy mummy's like little jamie from essex

I hadn't even thought of the connection with the puffy faced chef!
Bugger - was hoping it was not actually as popular as the league tables suggest.

go for what you like though. Icalled ds1 a name that was not really popular but became popular about 2 or 3 years after he was born and then I called ds2 a name withouth 'thinking' of popularity and I took him to the baby clinic for the first time and there were three people there with a baby with the same name! though his was spelt properly in the scottish way (scottish name)

There are two Olivers in ds's class

(rural Essex)

There are 3 Olivers in my ds's nursery group of 24, so yes, very popular!

Hadn't thought of the Jamie Oliver connection actually (perhaps because it's his last name?).
