Girls name short list - opinions please

We have been told we are having a little girl. The current short list is (in no particular order);

Genevieve
Imogen
Hermione
Harriet

What do people think? Honest opinions welcomed!!

Genevieve - a bit fussy for my liking

Imogen - Lovely, classy, timeless.

Hermione - Harry Potter and getting quite common popular.

Harriet - Like it, but prefer Imogen.

I love Genevieve - was just thinking of it for our dc4. I love the 'vieve' bit....

Genevieve - like it
Imogen - very popular atm, but pretty
Hermione - too Harry Potter
Harriet - lovely, like Hattie as a shortening.

I really like Hermione but i agree with the harry potter thing, my dh wont let me use it for them reasons
I like Harriet more than Imogen, there seems to be so many Imogens

I love Harriet and Hermione, like Imogen and don't like Genevieve.

I prefer Imogen and Harriet. Do you have any other children as saying them together helps. Also any middle names?

Imogen...like but dislike Immy which I hear as a nn for the one I know
Hermione...dislike
Harriet...dislike, don't like Harri for short (the 2 I know get that)

I like all of them!!

I can't pick my favourite as they're all lovely, but I guess my least favourite would be Hermione because of the HP link (although I love HP!)

Genevieve - my mum's name. Love it. Her family called her Vieve/Vievey. Friends called her Gen/Genny.
Imogen - nice - not so keen on nns/shortenings tho.
Hermione - ok, HP is first thing that comes to mind.
Harriet - not very keen. Always seems a bit prissy.

Genevieve - Not to my taste

Imogen - like but growing in popularity if that bothers you

Hermione - Not my taste and Harry Potter even more off putting

Harriet - really like but DH wouldn't let me have it on our list!

Lovebeingamummy. I have 3 other children but dont want to name them for fear of outing myself.

My personal favourite is Genevieve (possibly shortened to Evie) but dh is really anti.
He likes Hermione but then he's a big Harry Potter fan and I'm not. And what do you shorten it to?

Harriet - can't be objective as I know a very beautifull toddler called Harriet, but Yes

Its a great list! Cant really go wrong with any of them, but I would have Harriet with maybe one of the others as a middle name.

I would have Hermione or Harriet for db4 but since we already have a Harry that would be silly. Love them both.

Like Imogen quite a lot.

Don't like Genevieve.

REally lovely names but Hermione is too likely to face witch/ broomstick/ magic teasing unfortunately

Don't go for Genevieve unless you could live with Jenny or Ginny.
Seem to be a lot of Imogens.
No no to Hermione (agree posh and HPotterish)
but Harriet is lovely (as is Hattie)

I love Genevieve Erin it is my dd2 name and i refuse to let any one shorten it. I like it as it is unusuall and havent met many people with the same name. I wanted Hermione but was too potteish Harriet is nice and there are loads of Imogens my friend ahs two girls Hephzibah and Marni.

I like Harriet.

I like only Imogen.

What about Evangeline, shortened to Evie?

I like them all but can only really imagine having a Genevieve or an Imogen - both out of the running in RL but lovely anyway.

Love Hattie as a nn, and as yama said Evangeline is very pretty.

I do think Hermione is too Potter - will take a few years to die down.

If you like really unusual names how about Romilly - can be shortened to Romy
Or Cecile?
