Horrid but if you were to use it for a child I do think it would suit a girl rather than a boy. It's probably the "Lyn" bit...

Are you presenting a child's name to be sniggered at, rather than looking for responses to a name you are considering yourself?

And LOL at "SON" - pretty sure that as a name Brooklyn is not gender-specific...
