Either prenounced without the S or with the S. It's for a friend wasn't keen when I first heard it, this morning, but it's really growing on me. I like it as An-aye-cee.

I know one pronounced Ann-ay. She is a shocker, her mum had to have parenting classes to help deal with her. I find that rather off putting.

I thought it was very pretty but cannot get over the anus thing now. Anyway it's not my baby but the nan to be is sat with me now and she's going off it too.

It is definitely pronounced An-eye-ees.

The 'annay annay' of the perfume name is a bastardized pronunciation.

The 's' is not optional because the 'i' has a diacritic - making the 'ees' ending rather stressed.

If you use it, please don't forget to register it as Anaïs rather than Anais. The pronunciation is all in the spelling.
