I personally prefer Ariana. But Rosanna is nice too. I'm no help really

jackieOpaperLANTERN · 21/10/2009 20:06

Ariana

piscesmoon · 21/10/2009 20:12

No contest-Rosanna-definitely.

Ronaldinhio · 21/10/2009 20:15

wow thanks
let me know which one you eventually go with

tearinghairout · 21/10/2009 20:23

Ariana sounds Greek-ish to me. Ariana Stassinopolos (sp) was a Greek MP, I think. Rosanna sounds more traditional, old-fashioned, but not your usual.

What about shortening/nicknames? Rose is lovely, but Ari? Or would you go for Ana?

Just a few thoughts.

FWIW I love Ariana, definately my preference, but they are both lovely.

MrsJiggle86 · 21/10/2009 20:25

I prefer Rosanna

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 21/10/2009 20:26

Ariana

I prefer Ariana, but both are nice.

Rosanna reminds me of that maid in 'The Moonstone'.

emmared1980 · 21/10/2009 20:32

Tearinghairout-was hoping more for a Welsh thought when people heared Ariana haha...! Don't really 'do' shortening/nicknames so either would be used as a full name if that makes sence???

Rosanna definitely!

lalin · 21/10/2009 21:37

They are both gorgeous names. It all depends which goes better with your last name. Rosanna is my favorite though Ariana is beautiful too. Good Luck

Ondine · 21/10/2009 21:41

Rosanna is lovely, and it makes me think of the Chris De Burgh song 'For Rosanna' which although I know is sappy but it's such a sweet song to a baby.

dizzydixies · 21/10/2009 23:59

could you not wait and see which she looks more like?

TanyaBranning · 22/10/2009 00:07

Both gorgeous, but Rosanna wins for me.

doubleexpresso · 22/10/2009 21:47

Rosanna. Very pretty and has nice 'shortenings' eg. Rosie, Anna, Rosa.

shoobidoo · 22/10/2009 21:49

Both beautiful! Does one go better with your last name?

mathanxiety · 23/10/2009 02:37

Another vote for Rosanna.

Snotmonster · 23/10/2009 02:51

Rosanna was on my list if we'd had a girl but was thinking of Rosina as my Grandma is Lily Rosina (well ahead of her time obvioulsy)

branflake81 · 23/10/2009 10:31

I like Ariana but think it might be odd on a British child. Assuming you are British, that is.

rimmer08 · 23/10/2009 19:44

ariana definately
