Evangeline with nickname Evie?

What do you think? Is this a good name, popular, fashionable, do you know of any?

I have an aunt-in-law called Evangeline, nickname Vange... I know of a couple of small Evies but don't know what their full names are.

I think Evangeline's pretty but still fairly unusual, with Evie for everyday though I'd say yes

Evangeline is my favourite name Don't know of any and think Evie/Eve/Eva would all make good nicknames. I'd go for it!

I love it - have thought of it too for my bump. Just slightly put off by the Eva/Eve/Evie shortening as there are millions of them around at the moment.

My daughter is 15, and she is an Evangeline, usually shortened to Evie, she loves her name and we have never come across another one...go for it!

Isn't it in Nanny McPhee? (recalls DDs watching DVD).

Evie is gorgeous for a little girl and Evangeline is v. grown up. Perfect imo!

Its great - like having a fun, relaxed day name and a glamorous, sophisticated name for the evenings, if you know what I mean!!!!

I'm wincing at Rafis Aunt Vange tho - makes me think of someones fanjo (sorry)

Ooooh love Evangeline. DH balked at it but still managed to give dd2 another "ine" name.

Think it is the real life name of the actress who plays the gorgeous heroine on "Lost". Otherwise dont know of any others in RL.

First time I heard of it was Evangeline Lily, the actress in Lost - beautiful name.
