Oh I love Juliet and Rachel. Not so keen on Nicole though.

I like Cormac and Matthew too. Aidan is ok too, very popular in US, #1 there I think.

Juliet is a gorgeous name.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 18/10/2009 20:38

I like Rachel and Juliet

I like Matthew - a lot

overthemoon2009 · 18/10/2009 20:38

I love Juliet. Rachel is a cool name too.

hennypennyhen · 18/10/2009 20:39

Juliet, then Rachel
Matthew from the boy's list.

janeite · 18/10/2009 20:39

I like Juliet and Matthew and Rachel to a lesser extent. I don't like Nicole or Aidan and hate Cormac, sorry.

raydabs · 18/10/2009 22:11

Thanks good to get opinions Juliet and Matthew my favourites but DH not crazy about Matthew

Some other possible boys names are Mark or Marcus, Joseph or Cillian

Any views on these?

Juliet, Rachel and Cormac fab imo.

MaggieBehaveOutGuising · 19/10/2009 09:53

I also love Marcus.

Juliet and Marcus sound like brother and sister. Unusual without being at all try-hard.

Joseph is OK. Don't like, don't dislike.
Cillian is ok. I like it, but I think English people hear the 'kill' inside it more loudly than I do. I know it means church, and I know a couple of Cillians. But I think, unless you're in Ireland.... NO>

Cormac is much more user-friendly in the UK. I really like that one.

Juliet and Marcus or Cormac are all excellent strong names.

Also nobody would say Sormac, but because Cillian is c followed by an I, they are going to say Sillian.

MaggieBehaveOutGuising · 19/10/2009 09:54

ps, Marcus is more unusual than Matthew too, which for me would be a plus. I don't know if that's a concern for you thoug.h

raydabs · 19/10/2009 10:59

As it goes am Irish and living in Ireland but this is great forum for feedback.

Definitely looking for unusual but not over the top. Just considering the odd Irish name to keep DH happy but not madly into them myself many of them have become a bit over used over here.

Marcus starting to grow on me...

I like Rachel the best, followed by Juliet. Not a fan of Nicole.

Aidan and Matthew are both nice but really dislike Cormac

Poohbearsmom · 19/10/2009 11:20

You cant go wrong with Matthew but Cormac is super.

mathanxiety · 19/10/2009 15:26

Prefer Mark to Marcus. But Cormac is still my favourite of your suggestions.

spookypixiebroomstix · 19/10/2009 16:16

Loving all your boys names! Cormac, Mark, Joseph, Aidan... - all fab.
Not so keen on the girls, but they are all fairly under-used at the moment which is always a plus imo!

jellybeans · 19/10/2009 18:38

Juliet...not that keen, julia is better IMO
Nicole...love this
Rachel...not that keen, abit too dated
Cormac..not keen

aLittlePatience · 19/10/2009 22:43

Good luck for 5 weeks time...
Juliet is my favourite, but Rachel is classically lovely.

diddl · 20/10/2009 13:31

Juliet & Matthew

pointyhat · 20/10/2009 13:39

I much prefer Julia.

Julia and Aidan. Cormac is a lovely sound too.

DownyEmerald · 20/10/2009 13:44

Juliet and Matthew go together really well don't they? - anyone expecting twins?

raydabs · 20/10/2009 16:11

No twins here! Thanks for all the input definitely helping to narrow things down.
