What do you think of Josephine?

What do you think of Josephine as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

I love it but DH said a big NO.

I love it. It would be our 1st choice for a little girl. I don't love Josie though as a nn, prefer Phin.

I love it but already have a joseph so not really an option.

I don't like it, I find it dated in the same way as Stephanie.

My best friend has a baby daughter, Josephine, but whom everyone calls Josie. I like it.

I think it's a beautiful name, elegant and classy and the NN Josie is really sweet.

I love Jo far more than any of the names that it's short for. Quite like Josie.

It's my Mum's name. I really like it, but she calls herself Jo at work, etc, which everyone assumes is short for Joanne.

dd's middle name is Josephine after dh's mum ,

And Jo(sephine) in Little Women is a fab role model!

I think it's beautiful - classic and very feminine.

I'm preg with 1st child. Pretty much settled on the name Juliet if it's a girl.

My parents don't like the name Juliet, which is annoying enough in itself, but my mum keeps referring to my choice as Josephine

I don't mind the name Josephine, but it is the name of someone I worked with who I didn't like that much.

Think Josie is sweet though.

I love it and would call my child Josephine if I was having a girl (currently 20 weeks and hoping to find out gender soon).

This is one of my favourite songs and would still use the name even if the song is about a gender swap!?!?!

My middle name is Josephine, and I have always hated it!

Love it! But then I would since DD is one (named after her grandmother). She's always been Josie, but I like the fact she's got the long version too.

And it it matters to you, it's relatively unusual so you don't come across loads of them.
