Something along the lines of:

I have a Darren and a Karen. Would it be too much to call DC3 Sharon?

Tracey
or Keith
or Kim
or Louise

Everyone that I know their parents would be saying:

"I have a Steven and a Louise, should I call this one Jane or Tracy?"

I know a ridiculous number of people in their 30's with these names it can get very confusing.

MaggieBehave · 06/10/2009 15:36

Suzanne
Melanie
Claire
Jennifer
Louise
Nicola
Karen
Kim
Julie
Alison
Gillian

everybody got one of those names. It was the rule back then.

I can't choose between two middle names:
Jane or Louise?

in 30 years, mums will be laughing at our obsession with lilly, lila, lola, leila, Ella, Ellie, Libby, Milly, Molly, Tilly....

GhostWriter · 06/10/2009 15:38

I wanted to call my PFB Linda, the woman up the road's cousin's new cat has been called Belinda and it's ruined it for me. How selfish.

How would you spell this name? Sharyn, Sharon, Sharron, Charon?

Matthew, Mark, Luke or John?

AvengingGerbil · 06/10/2009 15:39

'My gran is insisting that we call DD after her or we won't inherit her fortune: bad news, she's called Ruby Mabel Amelia. Should I give my poor baby this really ghastly frumpy old lady name or call her Kelly Samantha and tell gran to keep her cash????'

OMG, can you believe my MIL. She wants us to call our DD after her mother/MIL. This is her list:

Beatrice
Isabella
Florence

And if we have a boy, then she suggested

Alfred / Alfie
Frederick
Theodore.

I have told DH that there is NO WAY I am going to lumber our poor DD with those names.

What do you think of Sharon Tracey?

I wasn't given a middle name and really wanted to give myself the middle name of Louise just like all of my friends who were also born in the '70's!

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 06/10/2009 16:10

My MIL has suggested Lucy Grace for our newborn dd. She's being a loon, isn't she? Can you imagine a high court judge or airline pilot with such an outlandish name? I'm sticking with my choice of Tammy Yvonne.

Madmentalbint · 06/10/2009 16:15

My middle name is Louise. At school we had a club and your first or middle name had to be Louise if you wanted to join. We had loads of members!

For girls I can't beat Maggiebehave's list. Totally true. They gave out the list in the maternity ward. Several of each in my year at school.

Just been to see new Star Wars movie, what do you think of Han/Chewbacca/Yoda or Leia for my baby?

Don't bother going to see the movie, lot of fuss about nothing/flash in the pan etc
