Still searching for a name for our new baby boy (due in under 2 weeks). We like Charlie and Patrick but not sure whether Patrick goes with the other names? Help and thanks!

I vote for Patrick

Thomas

baskingseals · 22/09/2009 21:15

Definitely Patrick, it's cool.

Lilyloo · 22/09/2009 21:17

Don't know why but Joe sprang to mind with your other names
like Charlie / Charles

mazzystartled · 22/09/2009 21:19

Love the name Patrick.

But William is very English Protestant and Patrick very Catholic. I guess that you must live somewhere where this doesn't matter, but there are a few places where it would seem a bit odd.

Charlie is a better fit - if such a thing matters - imho

BikeRunSki · 22/09/2009 21:24

Daniel sprang to mind, but of your two suggestions, I'd go for Patrick. There are Charlies everywhere!

Ponders · 22/09/2009 21:26

Thomas, Joseph or Daniel then?

(I love Patrick but don't think it goes with Alice & William, & as BRS says, Charlies are rife )

Cies · 22/09/2009 21:27

I like Patrick.

What about:
Peter
Robert
Thomas
Christopher

Tones the first name I thought of was Charlie! It goes so well with Alice and William.

I only know 2 of them as well!

MamaG · 22/09/2009 21:30

Tones · 22/09/2009 21:34

Thanks everyone..interesting about William being English/Protestant. Hadn't thought about that. We're actually Catholic!

Henry was my first thought. Like Charlie a lot though I do know a few. I also like Patrick as long as it doesn't get shortened to Pat.

Ponders · 22/09/2009 21:38

King Billy??? (He was THE protestant William!)

Heated · 22/09/2009 21:40

I like Patrick very much and Paddy is a cool nn.

I have an Alice and a William, their brother is called Louis.......but we do live in france, don't know if it would work so well in england?

Avendesora · 23/09/2009 12:31

Edward

tummytickler · 23/09/2009 14:26

My first thought was Henry

Jemima123 · 23/09/2009 15:18

Patrick is nice, in my opinion. Just found out it's the name of my nieghbour's child, but had it on my list before then. Trying to be unique... but will probably fail!! Charlie is my niece's name, if that helps (or not...)

pogleswife · 23/09/2009 22:28

Another vote for Edward. Or George.
