Are you considering one of these? I like Annie.

bellissima · 13/09/2009 13:31

Yep Annie.

Or howabout Delish?

MaggieVirgoOn · 13/09/2009 16:32

Annie here too.

Angel beau nmsaa!! beau is masculine. For me, that's odd for a girl. Annie Belle. What about Annabel Rose with Annie for short.

Annie could also be short for Angela Rose.

Joan is a bit drab, but I like Jeannie.

Alanna seems a bit bland, kind of weak-sounding. Can't put my finger on it. Prefer Elena Rose.

Eilish is that Scotish. Prefer just Elisabeth. Elsa short for Elizabeth nice.

cookielove · 13/09/2009 16:34

the female version on beau is spelt Bo, and i think its very pretty but of those names i love Eilish, with or without the H, very lovely

cookielove · 13/09/2009 16:34

Eilish is irish

tammy234 · 13/09/2009 16:36

All beautiful names except for Eilish, which I wouldn't know how to pronounce.

belgo · 13/09/2009 16:38

Angel in literature is a masculine name. So is Beau.

Angela Bo is for a girl.

Joan is just boring.

tammy234 · 13/09/2009 18:01

I like Alanna and Annie from your list!

cece · 13/09/2009 18:06

I like Annie, not sure about the other names. I have heard of a fe baby Joans around, and it is growing on me.

cookielove · 13/09/2009 18:35

tammy234 Eilish - Ilish

PrammyMammy · 13/09/2009 20:30

Annie is my fave out of your list. Cute!

plonker · 13/09/2009 23:16

Isn't Annie Rose Alfie's little sister?

Very very cute!

mathanxiety · 14/09/2009 02:28

Angel is usually a Spanish boys' name (or Mexican, Hispanic in general).
Alanna is an Irish term of endearment for a child or baby, roughly means 'little darling' or 'darling baby' or 'my darling' (leanbh=baby, young child).
Eilish (or Eilis) would be pronounced eye-lish or eye-leesh for the latter, means Elizabeth in Irish.

I wouldn't name a girl Angel, but I like the others.

BunnyLebowski · 14/09/2009 12:56

Annie is absolutely fantastic! Cute and girly but sassy and full of personality too!

Eilish is ok. Not one of my favourite Irish names.

Alannah is very dated.

And Angel is shocking! Tacky and very Jordanesque....sorry!

seeker · 14/09/2009 13:05

When did Bo become a girl's name?

pooexplosions · 14/09/2009 13:08

Bo Derek?

seeker · 14/09/2009 13:22

Her real name was Mary Collins!

bridewolf · 14/09/2009 14:27

sorry , should have mentioned last name was a boys name.

MaggieBeauLeo · 14/09/2009 15:37

Bo is just ludicrous for a girl. I can't get past the masculine 'beau' and I can't get past the body odour aspect either..

[My lovely assistant seeker will post her link now]

MaggieBeauLeo · 14/09/2009 15:39

oh sorry bridewolf, that changes everything. Yes, I kind of like Angel for a boy. Imagine screaming "ANGEL, stop taking the lids of the yoghurt pots" in Tesco at the top of your voice though!!

Maybe Dominic Angel. nn Demonic Angel.

seeker · 14/09/2009 18:24

6h for crying out loud, you can't call a boy Angel! Actually, you can't call a person Angel, but PARTICULARLY a boy!

skihorse · 14/09/2009 19:15

Why not simply hyphenate all possible suggested names therefore proving your point beyond all doubt?

Minicooper · 14/09/2009 19:45

I think Bo's lovely - its a chinese girl's name and means 'precious'. On my shortlist for dd - tho prob as a middle name!

idobelieveinfairies · 14/09/2009 19:46

Annie is a lovely name, my neice is Annie-Mae.

I also love Eliza.

persephoneplum · 15/09/2009 11:51

Bo = BO = Body Odour
Frankly, it's quite a bad day in naming when I prefer Annie over anything else. None of those are my style at all.
