im thinking:

if a girl: Dahlia Rae, or Mia Phoenix
if a boy: Phoenix ...

what middle name could i add to phoenix? i love alexander but i think an x in both names doesnt go so well.

what are your opinions for the girls names?

I think the first names for a girl are fine, the middle names are very common - not in a used a lot way either!

Phoenix - WHY??????

cyteen · 12/09/2009 15:14

Dahlia is lovely, elegant and uncommon too. Don't cheapen it with a rhymey singsong middle name like Rae.

Not keen on Phoenix, but you obviously are so I shall bite my tongue

Disenchanted3 · 12/09/2009 15:15

Dahlia, lovely, Rae no

Pheonix, no!

moseskoeln · 12/09/2009 15:20

lol to the opinions on phoenix. im not sure why, i heard the name years ago and just really like it now

what would you put with dahlia if not rae?? im not so keen on a longer middle name..i think.

namings sooo hard..

Dahlia is ok. I'm not overly keen on Rae, but it's ok. Doesn't quite 'go' with Dahlia though ...

Mia is lovely. Dislike Phoenix though. Too try hard.

belgo · 12/09/2009 15:30

Not Phoenix, for a boy or girl.

What about
Alexander Ray for a boy
Dahlia Mia/Marie for a girl.

cyteen · 12/09/2009 15:37

I'm not sure I'd bother with a middle name for Dahlia. Let it stand alone.

If I did want one, it might be something like Jean. Dahlia has a 40s film star ring to it, so maybe choose something else of that era.

limonchik · 12/09/2009 15:52

Dahlia May maybe?

moseskoeln · 12/09/2009 16:02

i LOVE Alexander Ray!
i worked in a Romanian orphange for 2 months last year and some kids really special to me were alexandra, alexandru, and aleczer..im kinda fond of an 'alexy' name

a dislike may..my middle names marie..and i find it overused and common.

dahlia alexandra (too long?)

cyteen · 12/09/2009 16:11

May is another rhymey-matchy name. I love it on its own but not with Dahlia. Think Alexandra is too long really...how about a double D pairing like Dahlia Dora?

Alexander Ray is excellent

belgo · 12/09/2009 16:55

Dahlia Alexandra is lovely, there is nothing wrong with a long middle name, far more interesting then a rhymey-matchy, meaningless middle name such as May.

belgo · 12/09/2009 16:55

Yes Alexander Ray works very well as a boy's name.

diddl · 12/09/2009 17:29

I also like Dahlia Alexandra.

MaggieVirgoOn · 12/09/2009 17:31

I like Renee for a girl, but I don't like Phoenix much.

Renee Mia or Renee Dahlia are both nice though. (Mentioning Renee because it has a smiliar meaning)

CuppaTeaJanice · 12/09/2009 18:49

Those Romanian names sound much cooler than plain old Alexander. And they mean something special to you too. Why not use one of them for your baby?

moseskoeln · 13/09/2009 20:22

dahlia dora ...

boy: Phoenix Alecser (pronounced alexer..but without having two x names)

girl : Dahlia Alexandra

??????

pinkthechaffinch · 13/09/2009 20:25

ooH I like Dahlia Jean, too.

Wattinger · 13/09/2009 23:36

Dahlia is a gorgeous name but I think dahlia Alexandra is a bit of a mouthful. Needs a simple 1 syllable middle name I think!

Dahlia Kate
Dahlia Rose
Dahlia Grace
Dahlia Eve
Dahlia Hope
Dahlia Faith
Dahlia Skye

??????

MamaLazarou · 14/09/2009 07:26

Dahlia's lovely (PG Wodehouse fan here), but dislike Rae as it just doesn't seem like a real name to me. I like the above suggestions of Jean, Hope and Kate.

Phoenix is just an attention-seeking joke name, IMO, sorry.

jellybeans · 14/09/2009 10:22

Like Mia but not the others.

MarshaBrady · 14/09/2009 10:23

Mia is cute...

moseskoeln · 14/09/2009 19:09

hmm...i def cant have dahlia jean... (daddys french and called jean ..pronounce john)!

dahlia alina
dahlia evelyn
dahlia alexia
dahlia marie

???????????
