I know Jo for short is quite popular. But I do not know of any Joanne's under the age of about 20!

Anyway, Joanne is not a name I would choose I think its slightly dated at the moment.

There were loads of Joannes on the council estate I grew up on, but obviously any name attached to a baby who didn't buy a womb room in a more upscale body must be scum!

I like it anyway, it's the name of my sister who died before I was born, and it certainly makes a change from all the old-fashioned names going around!
