I'd like a first and middle name. The combos I've got in my head at the moment are...

Elliott Arthur
Theo Stephen
Alexander Henry
Magnus Rory
Fraser George
Daniel Alexander
Hugh Edward
Archie Samuel
Finlay Seymour

Feedback and ideas welcomed please!

Oh, I love Theo. Was one of my favourite names for this baby, but DH has said no. Fraser George sounds nice too.

MrsMattie · 26/08/2009 21:39

I'm not big on saying whether first and middle names 'sound good' together, as I genuinely dont think it matters.

However, as names go:

I like Theo, Daniel and Samuel very much.

LaDiDaDi · 26/08/2009 21:41

Meant to add, surname sounds a bit like Garden but not. Hard "G" and two syllables.

I like Daniel Alexander the best.

MamaLazarou · 27/08/2009 18:28

They are all lovely - apart from Finlay, which is too trendy and will date quickly.

Lizzylou · 27/08/2009 18:31

Love

Alexander Henry
Daniel Alexander
Hugh Edward

Best.

Love Seymour as a middle name though not keen on Finlay.

LaDiDaDi · 27/08/2009 18:40

Dp has just pointed out that Hugh Edward sounded familiar because of the newsreader Hugh Edwards. Think I will have to scrap or rearrange that combo.

Both my ds's name and my top choice for dc2 if it's a boy are on your list - what great taste you have!

nigglewiggle · 27/08/2009 21:14

Fraser George is my favourite.

I also thought of Hugh Edwards!

thirtypence · 27/08/2009 21:14

Weirdly for a mumsnet name thread I like all of them.

MermaidSpam · 27/08/2009 21:36

Like Theo ALexander (just to be awkward!)

Jojay · 27/08/2009 21:38

Love Fraser George.

Why didn't I think of Fraser for Ds1 or 2 ?????

1Maya2 · 27/08/2009 21:54

Love Magnus really cool name,

janeite · 27/08/2009 21:59

I like Theo(dore), Daniel or Hugh best. I don't like Finlay Seymour or Fraser George.

1Maya2 · 27/08/2009 22:00

P.s Many good scottish names in your list

Scottie22 · 27/08/2009 22:09

Love Theo - I wasn't allowed this for ds as dh wanted Archie so we settled on Laurie!! I still look at ds sometimes and think he would have suited the name Theo though!!

janeite · 27/08/2009 22:10

Laurie is gorgeous.

upamountain · 29/08/2009 09:54

Fraser, Magnus, Alexander and Hugh are my favourites in that order.

Fraser was to be my choice for another ds.

MadameCastafiore · 29/08/2009 10:06

Elliott Arthur - Yep
Theo Stephen - No (Stephen???)
Alexander Henry - Yep
Magnus Rory - No (I know someone who has a Rory and dislike her and it colours my view!)
Fraser George - Lovely
Daniel Alexander - Too many Daniels about these days
Hugh Edward - Hugh is a grown ups name not a childs name
Archie Samuel - Yep
Finlay Seymour - Seymour is just a porn name don;t saddle your child with it.

sumatra · 29/08/2009 18:45

Theo lovely&spoils it with stephen, sorry,Samuel also nice, those names listed are quite unusual&don't need middle names.

doubleexpresso · 29/08/2009 20:26

Love Magnus. Great strong sounding name and still unusual. Also love Rory. All your names are great actually.

dogofpoints · 29/08/2009 20:44

Elliott Arthur - no, just no

Theo Stephen - don't like theo, a bit stuffy

Alexander Henry - Alex good, henry a little stuffy too

Magnus Rory - strong, quite good
