I have 2 boys Freddie and Dylan. I know that not everyone will like them but I love them!!

I was chatting to a friend who has an Amelia and a Sophie. Lovely names but I wouldn't choose them. We were discussing TTC DC3. She is TTC now and we are planning on trying next year.

She asked if I was going to call the next one a normal name as the boys have wierd names.

I am not sure what 'normal' names are. Can someone enlighten me please? Tempted to call DC3 Tarquin or something.

If you had two DDs i could understand her asking but they are normal for boys names.

IMO normal is something not made up by the parent or jumbo jet etc.

All the names in the OP in my opinion are completly "normal".

My definition of a name that is not "normal"(for the place that you live sometimes) is that when telling people the said name ever single bleeding person asks you to repeat it,then spell it.

I don't see how freddie and dylan are any less normal than Amelia and Sophie. They are all popular names in the top 100. I know young children called all of these names. I like them all. If I met all four in one family, I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Skybright, that would be my name then. I always have to spell it to everyone.
