Barnabas or Damon?

Would probably shorten Barnabas to Barney.

Neither.
Damon sounds like Damien or demon.
Barnabas sounds like a fattish bear.

I like Damon over Barnabas

I knew a guy called Damon and he was lovely, so that's probably why and Barney makes me think of the bear.

Just for moment when I read the title of the thread I thought it said Bananas or Damsons and I really couldn't think why someone would wnat to call their child that.

Barnabas definately - i really dont like Damon.
love Desmond though - it is one of my favs but dh wont allow it - Desmond instead of Damon????
If not, I prefer Barnabas.

Neither. Damon reminds me of the omen, barney is a purple dinosaur. Desmond I don't like either, doesn't suit a baby/child imo.

Yum to Damon from Blur - but as seen at Glasto this year, he sadly doesn't look like that anymore.

I have taught a couple of Damons and they have tended towards the 'loveable rogue' side of the class. Also (and I see this as a good thing when surrounded by pupils who like R&B!) towards the alternative music side.

Damon reminds me of Damien and the Omen, and Barney is the name of the dog next door, so that's out for me too.
