Names to go with Evan (boys and Girls)

Hi,
Im Scottish, my married surname is mega long and Irish and as you can see, my son's name is Welsh (no connection)!
Im looking for a name to go with Evan and it's quite hard.
I started a thread with a few of my suggestions but I wasn't overly excited about them so I just need fresh Idea's. Apart from the probably useless information above, I just like to steer clear of the very over used popular names. x

There was an Irish Saint Evan (Eimhin)who had two other saintly brothers, Culain and Dairmid, if you want to get a theme going

How about 'Elle'.

Thanks everyone. Lots of welsh names. Think I will avoid another one unless i really love it. Being a bit of a fanny - and it not being too popular/heard of in Scotland yet, I didn't know it was Welsh until the midwive told me .
I know, I know, 10 thousand people since then have said "oh lovely welsh name, is your husband Welsh"?
Then I have to explain how thick I am!
I like Carys but we have a Carys in the family already.
It's so hard and Im one of those people who's head buzzes until Ive made a final decision on a matter - aggghhhh

bevlin - I'm scottish with an irish dh living in scotland so we made the decision to not use very celtic/gaelic names for our girls SO we now have DD1 with an italian name, DD2 with a greek name and DD3 has a welsh boys name

use a name you love, no other criteria needed and certainly no explanation

dizzydixies I agree, I've looked at italian names and don't really mind where it comes from as long as it's nice. I think it's just everyone wonders and asks - why welsh?

Lots of names would go with Evan. I can't think of many that wouldn't.

My son is Evan, and I love it.

I sadly can't tell you DS2s name for privacy reasons, but I did toy with the idea of Elle if I had had a girl.

Evan and Elle, geddit ........

Don't know if this helps or not. Ds is called Archie and if we ever have another boy we will be calling him Evan. We have a popular scottish surname - I think Archie and Evan work well together.
