Niamh, expecting number 2 any minute, we've got a girls name, but not a boys name (other than a middle name of James-which is a bit of a family name from both sides). Any advice would be much appreciated, DH at moment's liking thomas-I'm not 100%!

Are you wanting to stick with the Irish theme?

If so, how about...

Patrick
Padraig
Conal
Connall
Donal
Osian
Shaun
Seamus
Fergal
Fergus

I also like Corin, Efram and Jayden.

I like Thomas better than any of the names that Deemented has listed. Niamh is lovely. Rowan?

The Niamh I know has a brother called Joseph. I prefer James, myself.

What about another one syllable name, always liked Tadhg. Not sure Id do it in England though......

I also like Cathal and Lorcan, and Diarmuid and Donacha.

Niamh and Tadhg sounds good.

Hey ladies, thanks for all your suggestions, I do remember Niall coming up on the original list when we were choosing number 1's name-it cropped up on BOTH our lists, I'll see what DH thinks, but I think he's got his heart fairly set on Thomas. Watch this space!! (I bloody well hope it hurries up soon!!)

I like Niall - probably because when I went to school I really fancied a boy whose name was spelt like this! Goes well wit Niamh though...... My DS has a girl in his class called Niamh which I think is lovely (he is called Harris BTW!).
