Sanitary towels.

(sorry)

bedjumper · 17/07/2009 08:56

aw dont be mean, the child is already called liberty!
a name that would go with your curent childs name well is zach for a boy or grace for a girl i would say.

Spidermama · 17/07/2009 08:58

It needs to be a one syllable name.
How about Jo?

Do you already have a daughter called Liberty and want to know what to call her sister/brother? Or are you considering calling a yet to be born child Liberty and looking for a middle name?

Cies · 17/07/2009 09:08

I knew two sisters called Liberty and Amity.

I think all of your options are nice.

MamaLazarou · 17/07/2009 09:19

Sorry - that was really horrible of me. My sincere apologies.

Bumperslucious · 17/07/2009 09:19

Aww, I wanted to say Belle

Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about finding a name to 'go with' an existing name, I don't think that matters too much, as long as they don't rhyme (I know a Darren and Karen), and, um, I trying to think but I can't think of any names that might rhyme with Liberty

Grace would be nice, similar in that Grace is a Virtue and while Liberty isn't a Virtue it's a descriptive name IYSWIM?

ConstantlyCooking · 17/07/2009 09:43

can't resist suggesting
egalite and fraternite

But seriously if you have one unusual name would you be better with something unusual for dc2 such as autumn, summer, or follow the Puritan idea of naming for virtues another noun such as charity, felicity, grace etc

sophiesmummie · 17/07/2009 10:29

Liberty, Egality and Fraternity

Agree that a 'similar' style name would work well, such as Amity, Felicity or Grace.

Thank you to all those that were kind.

My DD1 is called Liberty, Libby for short, and I was looking for some friendly advice to help with the next dd or ds.

I now know why I generally hate these sites as its full of women who judge people without knowning anything about them! As for the name Liberty being American and "pants" I think you will find it's latin and that "Life in a Liberty Bodice" is a wonderful collection of short stories from yorkshire about childhood...we are not all uneducated you know

Many thanx to all x

DS1's schoolfriend Scarlett has a sister called Liberty, if that helps at all!

loobylu3 · 17/07/2009 13:38

Oh, dear, that was really unfair!
I actually think it's really pretty. All the girlie choices go well. How about:

Flora
Violet
Maya
Isla
Delphi
Arianna
Kitty
Dulcie
Ivy

I'm not too good with boy's names. Prefer Charlie of the two. How about:

Monty
Jack
Ned
Theo
Otto...

Any good?

chamoiscreased · 17/07/2009 14:28

Constance?
Faith?
Hope?

Bettymum · 17/07/2009 15:07

Liberty and Jasmine

Liberty and Charlie

sound lovely

actually so does Liberty and Zach.
Not so keen on Liberty and Evie.

ihavenosecrets · 17/07/2009 15:10

I have always liked Liberty and don't think it is chav at all!

I think India or Jasmine go with Liberty. For a boy I think Beckett or Rafferty sounds cool.

slyandgobbo · 17/07/2009 15:11

I think it's a great name.
Raffaella
Raphael
Gabriel
Cosmo
Inigo
Jago
I think these go well.

pranma · 17/07/2009 15:18

I like it my cousins daughter has a girl named Liberty and her sister is Seren Grace

loobylu3 · 17/07/2009 15:24

Was going to suggest India too but I seem somebody else already has. I think it goes v well.

DebiNewberry · 17/07/2009 15:27

I really like Liberty.

what about Delphine? Libby and Delphi?
