Zachary Alexander McColl is my favourite.

englishpatient · 13/07/2009 21:24

I like Benjamin Alexander and Daniel Alexander - but have just noticed that the initials for the latter would be DAM !

MrsMcCluskey · 13/07/2009 21:25

Benjamin Ray
BEnjamin Alexanader
Like Zachary but doesnt go that well with Alexander same for Daniel
All nice names IME!!

MrsMattie · 13/07/2009 21:26

Zachary Alexander or Benjamin Alexnader are nice.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/07/2009 21:28

benjamin Alexander

barnsleybelle · 13/07/2009 21:30

We've got a Zak William which i thnk goes well.

yama · 13/07/2009 21:31

Zachary Alexander McColl (known as Zach)

or

Alexander Ray McColl

Not keen on the rest.

Can I point out that Zachary's initials would be ZAC whilst Alex's would be ARM? I know which is cooler ...

yama · 13/07/2009 21:34

Sorry, clearly I messed that up. I have a 'Mc' name so you'd think I would know better.

Zachary's initials would be ZAM - still pretty cool.

yama · 13/07/2009 21:36

Oh, and I don't actually say 'cool' in real life.

I'll get my coat.

hester · 13/07/2009 21:41

I like Benjamin and Daniel best. Zachary is too trendy 2000s.

jkklpu · 13/07/2009 21:43

Benjamin Alexander but, if you're Scottish, initials would be BAM[-pot]

hester · 13/07/2009 21:43

I suppose it's also true that Ben and Daniel are too trendy 1980s/90s, but I still prefer them

ilikeyoursleeves · 13/07/2009 21:49

I do like Zach but I'm a bit hesitant, I think it's great for a wee boy and a teenager but I find it harder to imagine a grown man called Zach IYKWIM? Maybe because it' a 'newer' name in the UK.

Oh and I'm Scottish too so yes Ben Alexander could be BAM(pot) but how often do you really use your middle name? DH's initials are JAM!

ben ray defo. love it

AtheneNoctua · 13/07/2009 22:03

Zachary Alexander McColl

Also really like Benjamin, Daniel is a bit blah, and don't care for Ray.

pointydog · 13/07/2009 22:10

They're all fine but I don't like Zachary meself

chellebelle · 14/07/2009 10:59

Really like Zachary Alexander McColl!!! I have an Isaac so maybe I'm slightly biased, but he is an "Isaac" with the option of Zach when he's older.

LouMacca · 14/07/2009 11:43

Benjamin Alexander McColl
or
Daniel Alexander McColl

Is the name Ray after a family member? Its quite different from your other choices.

carmenelectra · 14/07/2009 11:47

I prefer Daniel Alexander

PlumpRumpSoggyBaps · 14/07/2009 12:00

Benjamin Alexander, definitely.

Although might be prejudiced as ds2 was going to be Benjamin but ended up as Alexander Benedict.

So obviously a fab name.

moodylou · 14/07/2009 13:22

I think that Benjamin Alexander McColl sounds good. It flows nicely.

ilikeyoursleeves · 14/07/2009 14:14

Ray isn't a family name- DH would love it to feature somewhere cos it's after Ray Davies the Kinks lead singer, his all time favourite band!!!

He wasn't allowed to give DS1 the middle name 'Noddy' (as in Holder as in Slade) so I thought I might just let Ray feature this time
