DH loves it - I like it, but am not sure if it is too "old" - any thoughts?!

I know several - short for Stanley, Stanko and Stanislas. I love it.

magbags · 10/07/2009 18:03

Just think "Stan the man" whatever that means. I'm not keen tbh.

screamingabdab · 10/07/2009 18:56

Cool

piscesmoon · 10/07/2009 19:09

Dire!

bebesequin · 10/07/2009 20:52

Yes great go for it

austinsmam · 10/07/2009 21:14

DS1 is called Stanton. We liked it better than Stanley. But we do call him Stan and he is a cutie

simplesusan · 10/07/2009 23:03

Not keen.

AppleandMosesMummy · 11/07/2009 00:03

Will forever be an eminem song for me I'm afraid

MavisGrind · 11/07/2009 00:16

One of DS1s middle names is Stanley - it's a fab name, mid you, one of ds2s middle names is Wilfred, so I suppose I like those names.

In short - cool, esp as a little boy, when he's tired he ruffles his hair (a la Stan Laurel, as my ds1 does!)

RetroMum1 · 11/07/2009 07:49

I really like it and think it's very cool although it is becoming very popular around here.

TheDarkPhoenix · 11/07/2009 10:47

Love it. Really love it.

sazlocks · 11/07/2009 10:54

like it a lot

Gateau · 15/07/2009 15:10

Sorry, I can only think of Stan Ogden slobbing out in his vest in Corrie.

lastboxoftampons · 15/07/2009 15:38

Reminds me of old men, sorry!

castille · 15/07/2009 15:40

I know a Stanislas, shortened to Stan, who is a nice boy but his mother is impossibly pretentious so I can't like it, even if I wanted to
