Hi, just wondering, still a long while to go but have been told 'boy' and have no idea what name I would use. DH likes 'James' and that's it. (Lucia 'loo-see-a', mexican family connections and I liked the meaning of the name)

Thank you

What about Felix or Reuben or even Theo?

crumpet · 08/07/2009 18:56

hello crumpette, I'm crumpet!

I think a one syllable name would work well - no helpful suggestions though as I just wanted to say hi!

crumpette · 08/07/2009 18:59

Hi crumpet! How funny! Do you have cravings for buttery crumpets at 3am? ...

Thanks oopsacoconut- DH says Felix is ''the cat'', he doesn't like Reuben (was on my list for DD before she arrived), I think he likes Theo though...

My brain has turned to hormonal mush already so I thought it may be best if I think of names before it's too late and I can only think of ridiculous ones. Poor child!

i like the name Khalid (its arabic) and means eternal.

i also like Dylan, Caleb, Kieran, Nathaniel (means gift of god)

dizzydixies · 08/07/2009 19:23

Lucia would go nicely with Dante, Raphael or Nico

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 08/07/2009 19:24

Is Lucia a girl or boy?

I would go with Caleb.

They don't really need to 'match' as such though because they'll grow up and get married etc.

How about Luca/Lucas

Or:
Ellis

Izel and Armand are both Mexican and nice.

forehead · 08/07/2009 19:27

What about Gabriel

dizzydixies · 08/07/2009 19:29

oh Gabriel is nice, so is Gideon

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 08/07/2009 19:30

How about Elliot?

Ewe · 08/07/2009 19:36

I like Rafferty

crumpette · 08/07/2009 19:37

Please keep suggestions coming!! Lucia=girl, yes. I have loads of girly names that I love and, er, none for a boy.

I love most of your suggestions actually!

Please anyone, any suggestion is welcome. I think I should steer clear of Luca et al though, but other than that-am v grateful.

Hi Crumpette - i've sort of 'seen' you on a certain ante-natal thread, i think, although i rarely get a chance to post

Congrats on finding out it's a boy - I've got my 12 week scan next monday

as for name suggestions, seeing as you've already got a Mexican inspired name for your dd, what about either Gael or Diego?! I suppose they mightn't 'translate' that well over here though....

crumpette · 08/07/2009 21:54

waves at totalmisfit and to lynettescavo maybe you are right!

Yeah they told me boy a few weeks ago- I'd have preferred to wait until a bit later but DH said 'boy or girl' and the sonographer was overly keen to find out.

Anyway my long list of girly names has been put to one side and am really really struggling. I know I have a while to go but now I know what it is, sorry, he is, I think I should at least like a few names!

Out of the ones mentioned I think I am liking Jacob, Nathaniel, Elliot, Gabriel, and love Dante, Raphael and Nico (though fear vetoing from OH!!)

oh totalmisfit Diego is one of the spanish forms of James I think, do you think that'll sway DH?!!
