I quite like it.

It's not a name. sounds more like an insult - don't do it.

Greensleeves · 04/07/2009 19:54

How about Divvika? I knew a little Hindu girl called this, it sounded very pretty and I think it means "gift of light"

tearinghairout · 04/07/2009 19:55

I think the Op is having us on - see her other thread

mummiesnet · 04/07/2009 20:00

Are you Indian? I know a little Diva and I think it's really pretty. But I don't think it would work if you weren't Indian tbh.

mummiesnet · 04/07/2009 20:19

No not Indian Aranea.

So most people are saying no then.

I still like it a lot, would it be ok as a middle name do you think? Like Lucy Diva?

belgo · 04/07/2009 20:20

Prefer Godiva.

Greensleeves · 04/07/2009 20:21

How about Dina, or Dinah, or Davina?

mummiesnet · 04/07/2009 20:21

Davina is nice actually.

pooka · 04/07/2009 20:23

PMSL at LUcy DIva.

No no no.

Just no to Diva full stop.

Unless you already have a boy called Thesp. Or a girl called Sneer. IN which case go for it.

DebiNewberry · 04/07/2009 20:24

Vita?

EyeballsandherSunburntNorks · 04/07/2009 20:24

Oh God. What is going on with people these days. Just forget the silly names and pick ones that people won't take the piss out of. Diva is a not particularly nice word not a name.

madame · 04/07/2009 20:24

not unless you want her to grow up like one!

Breizhette · 04/07/2009 20:35

No, no, no.

mummiesnet · 04/07/2009 20:37

Vita is nice Debi, what does it mean do you know?

OP posts:
belgo · 04/07/2009 20:38

When she's being stroppy you can tell her off for being a right little diva and she'll reply that it's your fault for calling her that and she's just living up to expectations.

Greensleeves · 04/07/2009 20:38

It means life

my adopted baby sister was called Vita, before my mother changed it

Vita Ana Cecilia

beautiful IMO

belgo · 04/07/2009 20:39

Dita and Rita are also lovely. So is Zilla.

DebiNewberry · 04/07/2009 20:40

yes, life, like Greeny said.

Vita is a very cool name.

mummiesnet · 04/07/2009 20:43

I like that, thanks.

Would you go for that over lucy or amelia?

OP posts:
Greensleeves · 04/07/2009 20:44

It's less common than Lucy or Amelia

but they are both lovely names too

DebiNewberry · 04/07/2009 20:48

i am snaps with greensleeves tonight

honeydew · 04/07/2009 20:48

awful!

It's not a name - it's description of someone who is selfish, bullying, proud, prissy and demanding.

Hardly good qualities!!!Poor girl, she will get bullied so much.

LittleMissBliss · 04/07/2009 20:49

I like Vita.

honeydew · 04/07/2009 20:50

Davina in fine though
