Eve Amalie

Alexandra.

TreeTrunkThighs · 28/06/2009 21:31

Eve Amalie would be my choice from your list.

memoo · 28/06/2009 21:32

Alexandra is my favorite but DP really isn't keen, his favorite is Amalie

I think all of these are nice I did wonder why they are all vowels - I sort of imagined that a vowel first name would need a consonant second name - two of my dc have a vowel beginning first name and both have consonant second name (sweeping generalisation)

5inthebed · 28/06/2009 21:33

What does your surname begin with?

CakeandFineWine · 28/06/2009 21:33

Oh Eve Isobella here!!

My DC is Evie and middle name was hard we negotiated Megan?!

cookielove · 28/06/2009 21:33

Eve Alyssa

Eve Alexis

Eve Abigail

Eve Elizabeth

Eve Scarlett

Eve Anna

I like Eve Isobella

gigglewitch · 28/06/2009 21:34

btw, if i get off the fence for a mo, I think Alexandra is nice.

LaDiDaDi · 28/06/2009 21:35

I don't like Amalie as a name tbh.

I like all of your other mn choices but I would point out that they all start with a vowel sound and Eve obv. ends in one. This will mean that when saying first and middle names people wil either add an odd pause between them or will add an "R" before the middle name. I know as I have this issue with the names I chose for dd.

CakeandFineWine · 28/06/2009 21:35

LOL at gigglewitch I see your point vowel heavy, I had the same thoughts and conversations!

memoo · 28/06/2009 21:35

Surname will be Thrower, We're getting married on saturday!!

Its funny because it never occured to me that they were all vowels

OP posts:
memoo · 28/06/2009 21:36

Btw, Its a good point

OP posts:
memoo · 28/06/2009 21:37

About all vowels that is

OP posts:
memoo · 28/06/2009 21:37

Love Elizabeth Cookie but DD1 has that for a middle name

OP posts:
5inthebed · 28/06/2009 21:38

So your DD's initials will be E-A-T OR E-A-R? Are you sure thats a good idea?

5inthebed · 28/06/2009 21:38

Sorry, ignore the E-A-R. Had a brain fart there

memoo · 28/06/2009 21:39

Oh yeah thats not good is it!

I like Eve Isobel, love that spelling of Isobel, so much nicer than the more frilly alternatives.

If you do choose Amalie shouldn't it be spelt Amélie. Amalie looks wrong to me?

Eve Mireille?
Eve Isidora?

gigglewitch · 28/06/2009 21:43

omg - your poor dd - EAT (sorry for starting this bad train of thought)
Then again it was a close member of my family whose dd was very nearly HRH

Kotek · 29/06/2009 06:18

Eve Amelie or Eve Alexandra.
(i think life may be made easier spelling it Amelie rather than Amalie)

If EAT worries you (it shouldn't really I think) go for Eve Amelie Alexandra. As Eve and Amelie are quite short you can get away with 2 middle names and the Amelie Alexandra bit sounds quite regal - I think there was a German princess with that name! Lots of people have 2 middle names.

Tambajam · 29/06/2009 06:25

Isobel is a commonly used spelling but did you mean to go for Isobella rather than Isabella and Elenor not Eleanor? And not Amelie? Sorry to be pedantic. I like Kotek's idea.

angrypixie · 29/06/2009 06:34

Too many vowels for me;

Eve Sylvie
Eve Tabitha
Eve Hannah
Eve Leah
Eve Georgia
Eve Grace
Eve Rose
Eve Iris (vowels I know - but pretty)

BonsoirAnna · 29/06/2009 06:40

Eve is a very plain name, so IMO you should go for something a little more exotic as a middle name!

Madmentalbint · 29/06/2009 07:02

Out of your suggestions I think I'd go for Eve Alexandra or Eve Isobel. I do think a name that doesn't start with a vowel might go better with Eve though.

What about Eve Martha?

jellybeans · 29/06/2009 09:46

Eve Amalie..OK but prefer Amelie

Eve Isobel ..OK abit 'vowely'

Eve Isobella..Not with surname 'ella thrower' bit

Eve Elenor..Too many EEs

Eve Alexandra...the best i think
