LaDiDaDi · 18/06/2009 21:21

I like it.

HeinzSight · 18/06/2009 21:24

ha ha ha ha, just read this thread out to DH because he MASSIVELY vetoed Tamsin for my DD. She would have been Tamsin. DH cannot stand Tamsin Outhwaite, so put his foot down. I'm expecting again in August and DH has said if it's a girl he'll 'let' me call her Tamsin.

So yay, Tamsin gooooooooood!

Sidge · 18/06/2009 21:25

I really like Tamsin.

Horton · 18/06/2009 21:45

Nay nay nay nay nay. No. I think it's really 80s.

But Tamzin Outhwaite is really really nice. I used to know her, a long time ago in a different life.

FruitynNutty · 18/06/2009 21:46

I have a lovely friend called Tamsin

FruitynNutty · 18/06/2009 21:47

Tammy's rather nice

WolframAlpha · 18/06/2009 21:51

Lovely. No 80s connotations for me...

rubyslippers · 19/06/2009 08:04

hmmm - seems overall a good choice

is it 80's? i guess Tammy as a NN could be

BlueChampagne · 19/06/2009 13:04

Yay

Pinkjenny · 19/06/2009 13:06

I really like Tamsin, Tasmin and Tamara, but really dislike Tammy.

Fimbo · 19/06/2009 13:08

Tammy reminds me of a Barbie doll for some reason.

Do like Tamsin though.

Knickers0nMaHead · 19/06/2009 13:12

beautiful name but no to tammy as a nn.

IusedtobeSnowWhiteButIDrifted · 19/06/2009 13:21

I like Thomasin (Tom-ass-een) or Thomasina with Tamsin as nn

I like Tamsin, but prefer the Cornish spelling (Tamsyn). Think Thomas Hardy used Tamsin.

bronze · 20/06/2009 22:14

I like Tamsin- big Monica Edwards fan

pranma · 20/06/2009 22:56

I absolutely love Tamsin and am another fan of Romney Marsh ahhhhh sweet nostalgia, how about Merrion[sp?]for a boy

MoominMymbleandMy · 20/06/2009 23:30

I love Tamsin. It was the name of my much missed cat.

If DS had been a DD I was seriously considering Tamsin as a middle name, but DH thought it would cause trouble if I called a baby after a cat instead of a relative.

But I liked my cat much more than the relatives.

Firawla · 21/06/2009 11:56

Tamsin is lovely

rubyslippers · 21/06/2009 11:58

@ moomin ...

general consensus is it is ok

list of girls' names now stands at 3 ...
