Unusual name for 3rd DD

Verity79 · 02/06/2009 21:47

I've just found out today we're having our third girl! I think we've got her name but just not sure (I was kind of hoping for a boy this time around).

DD1 is Lilith Louise (1st feminist/my middle name)
DD2 is Alethea Ivy (Greek version of my name/DH Grandma) Thea for short.

My DH has one stipulation no repeated initials so J, V, L and A are out. He and his mum share the same initial so lead to much confusion when letters were addressed to J XXXXXX.

Our current choice is Callia Ianthe (Beautiful/purple flower) but I'm just not sure. I've used up all my crush names on my previous baby naming opportunities children.

Any suggestions? We like odd, unusual names with either a strong history/sweet meaning/family significance.

Like the suggestion of Gaia. Ismene would also fit in well.

Esme (pronounced Es-may)
Teigan
Carys
Imogen

Not really that unusual are they but still just thought I'd add some

I love Xanthe. Friend has just named her daughter Xnathe Rose which I think is gorgeous.

What about another Greek name like Euphemia, Estrathia or Ariadne?

hulabula · 03/06/2009 09:52

Your daughters have lovely names! I think Callia or Celeste very much to go with your other girls' names.

I like Callia. She'd get called Cally (or Cal); would that bother you?

Takver · 06/06/2009 21:24

What about Eleri as an alternative Welsh girls name to Eleni (which is also pretty)
I also like Llinos - Linnet, would your dh count Ll as a different initial to L?

dizzydixies · 06/06/2009 21:32
