How about Marcus Aurelius?

No, I don't think you can saddle a child with a name like that. Wiki says:
"But he (Tiberius) came to be remembered as a dark, reclusive, and somber ruler who never really desired to be emperor; Pliny the Elder called him tristissimus hominum, "the gloomiest of men."

I briefly had a neighbour whose little boy was called Tiberius, Tibs for short. To be honest I thought it was verging on child cruelty. The woman was pregnant at the time and I was really disappointed we moved before it was born so never got to find out what they called it.

I've known quite a few boys called Tiberius, Cornelius, Remus, Traian, Cezar and other Roman names. Tiberius usually had the nn. Tibi (Tee-bee). In another country (obviously! by the few replies on here).

I suggested Tiberius and my OH told me in no uncertain terms that I could not name our child after a roman emporer who liked to felate small boys in a swimming pool.

He also vetoed Caligula.
